No matter what time or period it is.
The Wealthy have always been lavished, the middle class held the most power and the poor screwed over regardless.
But at least things were different for the soviet, they had their own world and their own little politics with their own little issues that were still a lot more prefarrable to whatever the west has gone through.

Advantages of planned economy:
