Is China Changing Its Position on Nuclear Weapons?

No, it means that you will make full contingency plans for him to use the nukes anyway. With his back to the wall, you can never know what the enemy will do, regardless of what he says.

No, I still don't understand, who the hell on earth was forcing India to state a policy like "no first use" if it wanted to keep the option of "first use" open, why not better be AMBIGUOUS??

. .
US has no first use policy and even never ruled out using nukes on non-nuclear states. In that sense China is a saint compared to other major nuke power in that they have a policy of not using nukes against non-nuclear states. Correct me if I am wrong.

.
1. Did I took the name of any country?? I just asked why "no first use" policy mean nothing.

2. Your "so called" combined invasion of Pak-China is the biggest Joke on earth which i have read only on PDF. Do you think we are living in 1940s or something where countries would make a combined assault on another country?? I have said this earlier, repeating this again - Last time there was a combined declaration of war on a POWERFUL country, it resulted in world war 2, but that was some 70 years ago, after that not a SINGLE eg. of such an assault.

This is not 20th century - Politics of Economy has taken over Politics of Military. Why on Earth will China fight someone else war & jeopardize the massive trade & economic relations it has with India??

+ Do you really think a powerful country like India will be attacked from 2 sides & other nations like US, Russia, France, etc. will be watching it from the sidelines??

& Yes, India will not use nukes even under ur "DREAMLAND" circumstances.

You are overestimating the importance of India in the world.

There will be no world-war if India was invaded by another country and occupied.

India is simply not important enough for any other country to risk it's destruction for.

The scenario I gave is highly unlikely but so is the scenario of any state also using nuclear weapon. Unlikely is not the same as zero possibility.

Anyway you choose not to be educated so no point carrying on with you.

OK, so according to you, India is not IMPORTANT enough a country to go for a war over it, but Pakistan is important enough for China to declare war over India??

@arp2041 I believe @UKBengali sahib is talking in hypothetical terms no matter how akin to hyperbole his statements are..Theek dhorlam kotha ta, na? If on the other hand he actually thinks its going to go down that way- then allow me to introduce him to @Chinese-Dragon. UK bhai he will field, albeit with great distaste and exasperation, all your queries regarding a joint attack on India by China and Pakistan. On that note you got one thing right..loss of significant territory, not some border outpost or a few hundred km..but cities and strategic locations within the "inner lines of com" (hoping you are familiar with ORBAT terms) will be a redline for India and cause enough for a nuclear strike...that is IF something like that ever occurred.

@Dillinger India is a land of Mahabharata & Ramayan, we were the first country that codified war ethics.

A commitment is a commitment, "no first use" means "no first use" under any circumstances.

Besides the scenario of Pak-China joint assault on India & India fighting it all alone is a scenario which is NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE IMHO.

As i said, in the past 70 years, there is no example of such a case scenario.

Some say i m Overestimating the importance of India to this world, but I say they are seriously UNDERESTIMATING the importance of India to this world.

BTW, we have survived the ASSAULT of the most powerful empires & plunderers, do people seriously think that we can't survive the Assault from one or two countries??

China is not just one or two counties..having said that..we can already hold them..we cannot do it on two fronts RIGHT now..in 5-10 years yes. But why should we..China is about as eager to fight as it is to give up Xinjiang or Xizang..again refer to Chinese-Dragon, jump points exist only in Arunachal, Askai Chin and parts of Himmachal..after that its the Himalayas..NO ONE is going to be mowing into Xizang from India or from Xinzang into India. That's why me and Dragon keep telling people to refer to a topographical map..after that IF the Pakistanis have found a way to roll in mechanized forces over 20000 thousand feet peaks then well no one can win against them. :coffee:

As developero said, its a propaganda ploy, moral highground and what not. You know, to influence people like this...

No one with any sort of sense really believes China won't use everything at its disposal if its on the verge of losing a conventional war and occupation is an eventuality, or if a country did a massive biological/chemical attack on China or if China was in danger of losing mainland territory to a non-nuclear power.

Hahahahahhaa :flame: anything that is given over importance here is Pakistan

And Pakistan is important enough for China to risk a war
China is a businessman. It never do anything for free. If not go ask Pak govt how much aid did china give during the natural disasters in Pak. And compare it with others. Yu will be amazed ;)

@Chinese-Dragon : I am curious you didn't comment on this issue. Its a big strategic decision on be half of PRC if true

The chances of this scenario is pretty much zero but it was used to highlight the reason why India's "no first use" means little in the real world.

I cannot foresee any practical circumstances that China and India would ever be involved in an all-out war.

Not only would India and China lose but also the whole of Asia.

Again, my point is just a theoretical scenario which would put to the test India's "no first use" policy.

The chances of it happening are practically zero but it is still possible.

Anyway, to make this highly unlikely scenario practical you would have to imagine China moving a few hundred thousand troops into Pakistan proper to attack India from the West. Also hundreds of China's best fighter planes would also have to be placed in Pakistan as well.

We all know that this is a seemingly impossible scenario but it does put to the test whether India's "no first use" means anything in the real world.

It is the only thing that would put our no-first use policy to test other than a full scale invasion from Mars..no wait we can't hit Mars. You're right hypothetically- it would force us to use nukes...BUT this whole exchange would have not been needed if you'd actually read about our NFU- We reserve the right to preemptively strike any nuclear power if required, NFU applies for other nations and an exception in Pakistan due to the massive conventional imbalance there in our favor.

On the war front, Zionist need India against terrorism so they will not let India die for free.. yes if India nukes and take Pak out of the equation then the west could trigger a war between India and Pak and ask China to stay out. -- Pak conspiracy theorist.

The toughest contry to conquer to world is Pak, Zionist+USA+NATO+India vs Pak. and still pak today stands, which can tell you that Pak is tough to win. --Zaid

USA invaded Agf to weaken pak which they couldn't :--Hamid Gull

In all cases the only contry to nuked after Japan is Pak if they dont do what is asked..

China is a soft nation like India, they will never attack India in their dreams.... Like RAW/IB their agencies are doing time pass and not doing anything...

The only chance is a right govt (Modi) in India + RAW can get this trouble (Pak) resolved once and forever.
