in my opinion, religion divides people and for modern era humans, a little unnecessary... human civilizations have come far enough to do without religion and the barbarianism that it brings nowadays... though i'm a believing, fairly practicing muslim... i wouldn't be surpsrised the number of muslims (in the future, also applies to all other religion) stop practicing their religion or believing in it altogether....

It does not matter if Bangladesh is "officially" a secular state as long as it does not enact/enforce any laws discriminating against any religion.
Secularism is mentioned as a fundamental principle of the constitution and people debate over whether it should be removed and Bangladesh be declared as a "Muslim Country"...you know what else is a fundamental principle of the constitution?...SOCIALISM...yet I dont see anyone ever discussing whether Bangladesh is a socialist country or not...the whole thing is a stupid thing to debate over.

Curriculum in India is driven by states, independent agencies, barring CBSC schools. For example in West Bengal no of the schools controlled by centre will not be more than 100. Even they changes syllabus after few years. Next schedule is on 2018-19 session. In West Bengal its the syllabus by didi.
I grown up with the syllabus formulated by communists.

Yes there was a mass murder of Rajakars not muslims after operation polo, this was the effect of their brutality for years.
Now the low part was rape and involvement of Army. I believe it was a hang over from the partition, as Sikh and Punjab regiment as in charge.

But history says Operation Polo commanded by a Bengali have solders from Sikh, Punjab, Gurka and Puna Horse regiments. Gurkha and Puna Horse regiment stay at a bay from Hyderabad and surroundings. Yes its necessary to put sanctions on a extremist country like Bangladesh. In some cases Bangladesh is much bigger hell for minorities than Pakistan. For example the judiciary system of Bangladesh does not help persecuted Hindus. In Pakistan the police arrested a muslim man who sold shoes with Om sign in it, however if the incident would have taken in Bangladesh, the judiciary would have turned a blind eye. In Bangladesh minorities are getting their lands and properties grabbed illegally by muslims still the judiciary and the majority muslims does nothing to protect them.

Yes, I have read similar 1948 accounts of persecution in Hyderabad. The Muslims certainly have done it. But, it is difficult to understand who was the mastermind behind this. I wonder if the Indian Congress or the Delhi government itself was not behind it. Note that the persecution of the Hindus by the Razakars was needed as a pretext for Delhi to attack Hyderabad and expel Nizam. I am not sure, though.

Religion and politics are toxic combination for every country. Bangladesh must maintain kilometer thick wall between religion and politics.

We should even ban every politician from talking about religion. Religion is an emotional thing, politicians must not use it for their benefits...
