Guys can you tell me that bank po job in india is good or bad? There is so many candidate writing for po exam but I came to know that is not a good job???Can any one help me especially Indian and what else central goverment job can i apply?I am a graduate...help......guys

Every bank is hiring in very big numbers 1,500-2000 people.

There are over 2,00,000 jobs in banking this year.

And the good and bad is as per one's perspective.

Dude, I am not in a direct contact to any PO, but as far I come to know about job profile, it is not good! Honestly donno much about that but he/she will have to do hell lot of paper work that I don't like.

some say its good and some say its bad...what is the growth for bank po's because probation is only for 2 years...

depends what are the other options, plus on what scale they are offering probation, plus what points you have to achieve in PO period, and most importantly do you have interest in banking sector???

I just got selected as MMG-2 specialist officer in a PSU bank. They pay well but growth rate is not that high. Well a PO needs atleast 5 years to get that position, so try to look for better prospects. If you don't mind may I know your qualification.

See PO is not a bad job anyway in any Public Sector Bank..
1- You will be placed with atleast 23000+ salary ( Though not very attractive in comparison with Pvt sector but still ok if you see larger picture)
2- You have a good chance of being promoted as AGM after 15 years of service ( AGM is a High Ranking post , you will also get promotion meanwhile like JMG-II to JMG-III after 4-5 years,\; anyway your salary will increase to at least 40% just after completing probation period)

Apart from Banking you can prepare for SSC graduate level examinations. They place candidates in CBI,CVC, CAG, Income Tax, Indian Postal Service, Custom and Excise etc as Non- gazetted Class B oficer with starting salary of 26000+ ( if varies according to your grade pay like gp of 4200 will earn 2000 less than those having gp of 4800)

Further If you are interested you can try your hand in Civil Services.... Nothing cant match it but ofourse its tough

By the way did you appear in any examination yet?

dude i am BE information science but not good at it.

Banking is very hard working job especially as accountant. You must be challenger and must meet the dead lines provided by the authority. My friend starts work at 8am and work continues till late 9 to 11 pm. Also here, there are spy cameras in-front of you, you can't take long rest even Facebook, you tube and other social sites are blocked by the department. You are are limited on your work. Beside there are disadvantages, here comes some benefit. Banking sector is less noisy and cool sector than the noisy other production sites/sectors. If you feel you are hard worker, then this is place for you.

PO = purchase officer?

Everybody likes this job because they can skim off the top. Not very honorable IMO.

Other than that if you play clean you will build contacts in the market which should help you in the future.

YOU SHOULD DISCUSS INTERNATIONAL TOPIC ON THIS FORUM.

Extremely bad job, dont know what is your aimed standard of living etc? But if you are aguy who prefers security and safety and doesn't mind living in a small place in a chilled out manner,u shud go for it.

If you are planning to learn something/do better in life,it is a waste of time.useless, and with the ongoing inflation,it is worse tha peanuts.
