So basically u failed your ISSB psychological exam on the first night n were sent back home.
Had u passed it they would have tested your ball size n strength n wt not in the physical tests, the day after.

no basically you are wrong, unless you were taken to some special room day after for checkup non in our group went thru it even the ones who got commission. I have mentioned it once before I was offered commission in Pakistan Army by an in service US commanding officer while taking ROTC in the US...so commission was not my quest my group of friends went sight seeing on Army's expense and it was a fun experience....yet still came back without knowing the size of balls. :(

Argentine pilots have never been in contact with Chinese fighter planes, and there is not much communication between China and the Argentine military. Of course, China dare not sell J10c at the beginning, J10c is now one of the main fighter planes of PLAAF.
JF-17 is just the beginning. According to international practice, military cooperation will gradually deepen.
As a football fan, I personally hope Argentina can help us in the field of football. Our football team is a pile of shit. They lost to the Vietnamese this year.
I understand that at first the FAA had set its sights on the J-10 and not the JF-17, but China did not want to export it to our country. Among certain Argentine specialists it is speculated that the refusal regarding the J-10 is a matter of a lack of clear alignment on the part of Argentina. Since 1945 Argentina has not decided which side of the street it wants to be on. That ambiguity has cost us a lot in terms of defense.
Regarding football, we ourselves will need a lot of help in the next World Cup. We haven't won anything for 36 years.
If Argentina want the close ties to west. First , it must give up claim of Falkland. Can Argentina do it? Any Argentina politician who relinquished claim of Falkland will never survive in Argentina. I hope you can understand. If Argentina buys US F-16, it can never used against UK. You want to buy a weapon that cannot used against UK?

Good luck..
The claim regarding sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands cannot be waived because it constitutes an imperative that arises from our National Constitution. It is a legal imperative and the law cannot be broken. In that sense, all the politicians in Argentina agree to support the claim before the United Kingdom. But in no way is the incorporation of a new air system intended to confront the British. We have a territorial extension of almost 3 million square kilometers and our sea has another million more. Today, all that territory does not have the air defense that it should have. Notwithstanding this, our FA must enter the 21st century in terms of operating modern flight equipment for which it is necessary to incorporate new weapons, tactics, doctrines, procedures, etc, etc. If it is the F-16, the JF-17 or the Mig-35, said material is not intended to confront the United Kingdom. Argentina simply wants to guarantee adequate protection of its territorial sovereignty in addition to claiming through the corresponding international channels.
I don't think they have the money, they have been shopping around for long time.
We have de money and the corresponding budget authorization approved by our parliament.
USD 50 million a piece for a dozen plane shall be affordable by Argentina. Plus China would accept Barter trade for livestock. Sometime Argentina are abundant of.
I understand that the payment operation would be mixed.
let's hope so, that is if they want to spend.
It is not a question of wanting to spend, but of political will to accompany the operation and close an agreement with China and Pakistan. In my country, the greatest enemy of our Armed Forces is not only the budget allocation (less than 1% of GDP), but also the ruling political class itself.
They want to spend becos all their supersonic jet retired and their AF are aging with no modern 4th gen fighter jet.
Ours Mirage/Dagger/Fingers are retired but we are right now working to put on line between 12 an 18 A-4AR. That can be really helpfull.
Doesn't JF17 uses Ejector Seats from Martin Baker (A UK company) right? You won't be be able to sell it to Argentina without finding an alternate for that.
I understand the ejection seat will be a chinese one to avoid the british veto.

I think Argentina has really two choices regarding the jet fighters, either Chinese or Russian made, if it really want to be independent to avoid chokepoints or any West sanctions of weapon supplies in the time of conflicts or war as happened in the Falklands war in the 1980s with French supply, that costed you from winning the war. Now, Russia is in the Ukraine war and I don't know if they can still fulfill Argentina's orders as desired or on time. So, the good option is probably with Chinese/Pakistan made jets such as JF 17 or possibly Chinese J 10C.

Using Martin Barker ejection seat is a matter of buyer choices and not a must. DId J-20 or J-10 operate in PLAAF uses Martin Barker ejection seat? I hope that answer your questions.
Pakistan replaced the Chinese ejection seats with Martin Barker a long time ago, but that's ancient history.

I am sure that the Chinese have move on from there.

J-10's are medium weight fighter, they carry the punch which Argentine right now has no need, they need to build a fleet of light weight to support heavy's then go for them.

Argentina deal with China, not Pakistan. The profit will still split with Pakistan but they have no dealing with this deal.

Like Stop China from buying Russia oil or US win trade war against China? Which world are you living in? 1940s? You think China still stagnant in the 40s?

You shall leave your well and see the real world. :enjoy:

whats the use of dealing with china when Pakistan makes 65 % of the plane ?
If Pakistan gets pressured into not supplying china the 65 % parts , how will China assemble the plane and supply it ?

Why would Pakistan refuse? it's a golden opportunity for us.

You think China need any approval from England to sell anything to who?

Argentina has only one choice. China warplane. You can forget about American product when UK will complain to US for any sales to Argentina. I dont think US place Argentina more important than UK. Russia, forget about it. US will sanction Argentina if they go Russia warplane.

Typical sourgrape western article trying to pour cold water on this deal becos they cant eat this pie.

The problem was PAF insisted on using a UK ejection chair in JF-17. That needs approval from the British. China has offered replacing the chairs with Chinese-made. But frankly, Pakistan military and government have too much Western influence (backstab, string-pulling, etc.). Frankly, JF-17 meets the budget but J10C actually meets Argentina's needs better. J10C will give them an advantage or on par footing against the UK jets while at the same time dominate the S America airspace for some time.

J-10CE would be no match for the Mk 2 version of the Eurofighter with latest AESA radar, electronics that will start entering service in 2025, let alone the F-35Bs on the UK carriers.
