There was purchases in 1990s which seemed to indicate there was an arms race but today i think picture is entirely different.
For India is more about maintaining its existing military power, for China its about expanding.

Our current objective is to modernize our forces and build a better Air force and Navy, currently now putting the space budget aside, our budget is higher then the $100-$120 billion then the current claims remember government never reveals it's true budget.

We're not trying to "take the role" that America plays, not even close.

In fact... it is the current global status quo that is benefitting China the most.

In the current status quo, our relative power is rising faster than anyone else. And don't bring in India with their 6.1% growth.

1962 - Chinese attack when nobody was there and ran back at the first sight of people coming.

If you take those statements to get more funds that seriously then you guys should seriously consider attacking India.
