Hi,

Pakistan is going in the right direction as of now thru the direct role of pak military into managing and maintaining the country. As the things are getting better---should there be a concern that powers to be may want to create instability in the country and assassinate those who are in a position to make the difference.

Pakistan has also started talking to Russia---and possibly signing deals of interest---and General Raheel visiting Russia lately----would that create any issues in the western block. There is a general shift of Pakistan towards Russia as pakistan has gotten tired of the " blame game " and " do more " kind of rhetoric that the americans had been singing for a longtime time.

Is the united states of America concerned enough to do something radical to destabilize Pakistan so that it does not emerge out of the chaos that it has been living in for the last many years.

It is for sure that the U S would not let go of Pakistan without giving it a fight---but would it go to the extent of assassinating the power base in Pakistan to make a point and keep Pakistan under control.

What carrot would Nawaz Sharif dangle in front of the americans asking for a favor to get rid of Gen Raheel and his team---.

Or what kind of promises would the americans make to Nawaz Sharif t get rid of Gen Raheel and his team on his coming visit the next month.

So---is there an assassination on the table----or is there a pack your bags kind of deal about to happen.

Sometimes I Feel they have left NS there with his fake democracy for this purpose

Well.....though your idea may seem too far fetched but then one also remembers mysterious plane crash of Gen Zia and his top generals, at the end of previous afghan war....so there is a possibility... But more than US , i think indians would be more interested in such eventuality...IF something like tht has to be planned

:blink:why are you saying all this?

Pakistan is currently doing best :D we are saying everyone *Ji Huzoor* so everyone is happy right now.

Surprisingly I had been thinking the same few days back. Americans have started to call and meet Nawaz a bit too much all of a sudden. I think they are throwing weight behind Nawaz so that he is not pushed around as he is right now. No matter what happens, it is a win win situation for powers to be. If there is coup or Nawaz removes Raheel, this current course will be lost. There has never been so much need for civil-military cohesion as there is now and PTI(I am a fan) should sit it and not create unnecessary petty issues for political scoring and advantages.

Yes , I bet he wont and would be reminded of his mushy exp with earlier commando. This time there will be no drama of the runway landing but it will be staircase to heaven:p:.

Hi,

I am just making an as-s of myself over here----. The thing over here is that U S forced Musharraf to sign the deal to Singapore for the Gwadar port---and Singapore did nothing.

Now that Gwadar deal is done with the chinese----work in full progress----Russian influence slowly increasing in Pakistan---U S being slowly pushed because of their utterly stupid game plan---the americans are not going to take it lying down.

If the americans wanted the welfare of Pakistan---they would not have forced Benazir on Pakistan and after her death---they would not have forced Zardari on Pakistan either---.

Look at it from another perspective; WHAT IF the most corrupt so called politician or politicians is/are assassinated who are currently not in power...what impact that would have on the current setup...? I know I am trying to give it a positive spin...

Well... to be honest, we've been there before, when we had other's instead of general Raheel.
Most recent case was of Zardari's infamous memo gate.
This actually endorse the fact, that Rahil Sharif is just part of a legacy which will continue, and any attempts to change any team at any time, would fire back badly.
US has always been part of the Pakistan's power play. Be it the case of exploding mangoes or deal break between general Pervez Musharraf and Baynazir. or be it secret meetings of ANP leaders in Washington followed by their victory in NWFP and divide of province and its rebranding, be it the carrot or Reham Khan.... whatever, our politicians are in pockets of foreign agencies.

your article reminds me of the assassination of benazir and how power was taken from Musharraf after the chaos created due to her death. although a pity that she died but she was one suborn selfish and ruthless woman, had over 175 people killed on her arrival when instead of going quietly to her place she wanted a spectacle and a procession in her honour and then the assassination itself violating all security protocols despite the warnings.
here I worry for sherifs because assassinating the COAS through a plane crash may not result in the planned chaos in the country.. the military will bring a new COAS or maybe martial law and sherifs will be sidelined. but killing Nawaz sherif or his brother can create political turmoil and unrest in the country and army will be immediately blamed by Khawaja Asif etc

and mission objectives will be achieved. since the coas will stand accused like musharraf was

Americans will not let it happen quietly... and neither i believe they are sitting idle.
They have huge organization available to study Pakistan and support its politicians and NGOs.
My guess, they will move Iran / India / Afghanistan, against Gawadar and Pakistan.

Baynazir was acting on a given script... she earned her confidence from assurances in USoA. Otherwise she was she fled Pakistan just because of her inner fear of her treasonous rule.

Hi,

The thing is that thru all this turmoil---there is a very strong ray of hope for Pakistan emerging now---. The rudderless boat has an oar now----it has a direction and it has a focus and it has goals.

To achieve those goas---there will need to be some very serious and concerning decision that will take place.

If it comes thru it, right and straight---Pakistan would emerge as a strong nation politically---financially and militarily. And that is a position that many a nations might not like Pakistan to be in.

A weak and a meandering Pakistan is of no concern to anyone----a strong and projecting Pakistan is worrisome---. A strong Pakistan would be more demanding of its position in the world order----so---would there ever arrive a need to curtail the progress of Pakistan to put it back to where it belonged for a long time!

Sir rest assure, every one is watching the master stroke with his / her fingers between the teeth.
This guy Asim Hussain was with Zardari in US, when CIA was making redundant deal with Zardari.
following your lead, i see Nawaz Sharif / Imran Khan as potential targets of their own handlers.
