By excluding China, the world's second largest economy, from the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership on trade while embracing the revision of Japan's pacifist constitution to allow military action beyond self-defense without an apology for colonialism and aggression acceptable to its Asian neighbours, the U.S. and Japan are laying the cornerstone of a new bloc system in the Pacific which is worrying China. So is a new cold war is about to embark between the two world powers.

US and china are allies not enemies

I wouldn't call US and China allies but I wouldn't call them enemies either. But China is a threat to US' plans of influencing world economies.

Du
dude you need to be vigilant about current affairs...

The US debt to China is $1.224 trillion, as of February 2015

In the short run, the economy and voters benefit from deficit spending. In the long run, a growing Federal debt is like driving with the emergency brake on, further slowing the U.S. economy. At any point, debt holders could demand larger interest payments to compensate for what they perceive as an increasing risk they won't be repaid. When this happens, the United States will have to pay exorbitant amounts just for the interest.

It is more like a Cold War involving USA, Europe and those sided with USA against China, Russia and those who sided with China or Russia.

It is likely driven by monetary support - support USA you get funds from us; support China or Russia, you get funds from either two or both.

But both will have strings attached.

Maybe. But this 'Cold War' will have a very different dynamic because the $500B bilateral trade between China and US creates a kind of "financial deterrence" that takes the place of "nuclear deterrence" in the old Cold War.

The real danger of a new Cold War will not be to the China, US, or Russia, because these big countries are entirely capable of defending their own interests. Instead, peripheral countries and small countries caught in the middle are most in danger of being collateral damage and getting flattened as the "giants" tussle and play-wrestle. The savage jungle countries which host as theaters for great power conflict might see their dark citizens strewn on the streets as corpses, LOL.
