‘Irrational’ border closure a setback to Pak-India ties: Chinese analysts

Chinese have interest through CPEC, how come this wall between India and Pak bothering them. CPEC is the first step of colonization of Pak by Chinese, ppl who have doubt they should read about EAST INDIA COMPANY.

China wants to trade with everyone, we are the largest trading partner of most countries in the world (including Japan).

While India wants to trade based on emotionalism. India-Pakistan trade is already abysmally low despite sharing one of the longest borders in the world, even before they wanted to seal the border.

And sealed borders mean that both sides have less invested in the other, therefore greater likelihood of war (even nuclear war).

This is the same reason India is refusing to participate in China's One Belt One Road initiative. I don't understand why India has a problem with increasing economic cooperation in the region, preferring instead to hold business ties hostage to emotionalism.

It will worsen relations. With less people to people contact, less economic ties, less cross border investment... it will make war and even nuclear war more likely. Because there will be less to lose.

There is nothing to read between the lines. The case for the fence is clear cut. It has nothing to do with nationalism -- or Hindutva extremism -- but everything about India's security.

That this fence will make India-Pakistan relations worse is just a canard.

The Wagah border crossing is still open. India and Pakistan still trade with each other. India building a fence on its side of the border will no inhibit the movement of goods and people across the border.

Not that it matters given that many Pakistanis don't even want to trade with India. India has yet to receive MFN status from Pakistan. There are complaints of Indian products flooding Pakistan products. Ban on Indian television and films. So what's this nonsense about promoting trade with Pakistan?

As for China, India does a healthy trade with them. In addition, China has a trade surplus against India. Why is China rocking this boat by bringing up this fence issue?
