You cant use Yasin to train pilots for SU 35,..When it comes to pilot training you have two fields. 1st is flight school where you train new pilots,there you need basic turbo prop aircraft for basic training,than advanced turboprop and than advanced jet trainer as Yasin or Yak. But you also need transitional training aircraft to train senior pilots in IRIAF. There,for 4++ fighter jet as SU 35,you need advanced Russian made trainer with similar logic. So this probably mean Iran will get SU 35 also.

I'm looking forward to Su-35S or Su-30SM (since Yak-130 is from IAPO who makes the Su-30SM), or both. If there is the willingness from both sides, the sky is the limit.

Same role as Yak 130,but Iran is building on western tech and logic,SU 35 is new for Iran and it doesnt have two seat version,so they had to buy something with similar logic and tech. You cant train pilot on aircraft that is based on western technology and weapons than put it in SU 35 to fly it and to fire weapons it never seen in his life. Also,that is why IRIAF also insisted on SU 35 simulator.

yak-130 flight characteristic is nowhere like su-35 even the electronic and everything else is different
its only a fairly modern advanced trainer just like any other advanced trainer

Yasin can be competitive if electronics of Kowsar implemented along turbofan engine comparable to most powerful model of FJ-44.

what i understood is Russians dictated to buy yak before Su's. if you build a trainer successfully you can arrange avionics easily according to aimed aircraft
