. . . .
pics from 2014 n 2015

Exactly was the point as we can see how Iraqi special forces started to turn the tide against IS after that. Ofcourse Pakistan trained ones were not the only one in action.

Post 2004 the US planned and trained the ISF as a counter insurgency operations (COIN) force, small scale non-conventional battles. Only after 2014 they had to transform the army into a force that fights conventional war as this current war is, that's why it took time before things started to 'get on a roll' as it is currently.

The army before 2014 was never trained to fight large scale battles, it was more of a holding force and COIN force. I'm not saying the IS takeover was good but it 'fixed' the army into a real army and it's getting better.

The long-stalled push in Iraq to retake Ramadi from ISIS has underlined the need for re-training the Iraqi army in the tactics of conventional warfare, according to Army officials.

"We trained and built a counter-insurgency [Iraqi] army, and this is much more of a conventional fight" against the defenses thrown up by ISIS,
Army Col. Steve Warren, a spokesman for Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve, said in a briefing to the Pentagon from Baghdad last month.

Inshallah better training than the Americans could provide. We should also reach out to disaffected Baathists and encourage them to join mainstream and shun Daesh. Pakistan playing its role against terrorism menace

Must also provide more mechanized armor

This isnt news... They have been training for a long time and still train; infact many middle eastern special forces train in Pakistan as well.

I heard the Czech Republic will also begin sending soldiers for training.

Many forces go training with others to learn things from others, it's not one-sided or the main training hub for ISOF or other forces. This is often misunderstood.

Brother, Iraq is a Sunni majority country where Kurds are a minority! Don't create hype. I have never uttered a word against Shias. I am talking about Iran's belligerent policies towards other countries (mainly Iraq). You are so emotional in the love of Iran that you are relating it with Shias all over the world. Pakistanis are Pakistanis! We have lost a Pakistan Major in Torkham few days ago!
