What's new

Iraqi Parliament approved the end of US military presence in the country.

Iraqi Parliament approved the end of US military presence in the country.
Now it's the gov decision...

There is no gov right now, the prime minister is only in a caretaker position and lacks the authority to make such a decision. The country has no prime minister at the moment so it won't have any direct effect.

Now the battle for the prime minister position is going to be more intense than before, US influence in Iraq is largely in Iraq's military and almost non-existent in political parties, Iran's influence is bigger in parliament and political parties.

The U.S needs to be pushed out of the middle East

Out of Afghanistan

Out of Iraq and Syria

Out of the GCC (if only for the suck up Arabs)

The U.S is a real snake trying to poison nation's around the world

At some point there has to be a end

No , some people suggest that USA will reactive ISIS once again to force Iraqis for asking for help
That's very probable, but this will be in the news circle in the US for a while and Trump's reaction to it will be interesting. They got the boot from Iraq today.

Bigger question is if US refuses to respect this decision, and Iraq asks Iran to assist them in getting rid of foreign military, what will happen

Iraq won't ask Iran, they should not .. they should go to UN and ask them to withdrew US forces before they become targets for Iranians and Proxy, thing is this is between Iran and US why would poor Iraqi lose their lives for a conflict they have nothing to do with ?

USA never want to leave, and the Shia militia will impose the sovereign will of Iraqi state.

I don't see the US accepting it to leave even if somehow in the Iraqi system they get the executive branch to sign it that the US has to leave, it will escalate. US leaving would mean they accept defeat in this row with Iran.

From now on , all of USA action against any group in Iraq is illigal ... so they can't play victim role any more ...

Question is, did America asked for the permission of Iraqis to invade and destroy their country to begin with?

Did UK asked Iraqis to kicked them out from Iraq in 1950s !?

It seems Sunnis and Kurdish MPs weren't there... So the US could also use that.
You also have the Pro-Iranian threats toward MPs in the previous days.

iraq will be official province of iran if USA leave
Not sure about that... Kurds and Sunnis will mostly fight against it... as for the Shia part, a good chunk aren't for such Pro-Iranian "environment" either... as seen previously.
