What's new

Iraqi Federal Court rules that Kurdish Regional Government’s oil & gas law is unconstitutional & that Kurdistan must turn over all oil & gas to Baghda

.
Staying in the current situation is not a solution either. It's just a ticking time bomb before Kurds make a next move on Kirkuk, either politically or militarily. I am aware that they cannot beat Iraq militarily, but the Iraqi army may be caught off guard, might experience a breakdown in local chain of command similar to that of 2014 or anything that is not too uncommon in Iraq which leads to failure.

If the PMU can escalate things with the KRG then the Iraqi gov can intervene and further its presence in the KRG countyside. PMU can be of good use to us, however it needs cleaning from the IRGC presence in it. Some commanders need to be dealt with in a similar fashion to Soleimani and Muhandis, the US helping here would be great.. as they can strike without the Iraqi gov being blamed for it by Iran/proxies.

The end goal is to return to the good old days where we saw our flag in the Qandil mountains. Using the Kurds/PKK/YPG against Turkey or anyone else is not going to help us, we see what they are trying to do in Sinjar, and we'll just see more Turkish bombing in Iraq. Not wise in any way to do that, it gives them an excuse to do even more.

There is a lot that can be said regarding the Kurds and wether using them against regional actors is unwise or not, for now we must define our priorities and act accordingly, weakening the IRGC should take precedence over the KRG, to take action against the KRG now would play right in to the IRGC hands.

Fully cut the federal budget to the KRG, like before
let just say they fully cut the oil revenue to federal government and wonder this time who want to put them in its place as IRGC and Iran are the villain here and probably to slap on your hand won't gave any ultimatum to Kurds

lmao the center doesn’t have the power to enforce that rule?? last time iraqi army entered the north those kurdos put on their skirts and run faster then usain bolt
the last time it was not Iraqi army that scared them , it was those militia that our friend @Saddam Hussein like so much and praise them on daily bases .
wonder if this time they raise their guns and just for sending a message to central government stay at their bases

When Iraqi forces took Kirkuk in 2017, I saw that a Kurdish flag was hanging on every street pole in the city. What a clown shitshow, who wants to live in such a retarded society.
It was not Iraqi forces who took the city back , t was one mans ultimatum that did the job . the man who ruled hearts

that was not breakdown chain of command , that was outright treason of Baath sympathizers who were still in the army

"my dirty work" hahah

PMU has the same interest as the Iraqi gov when it comes to smashing the KRG.

PMU commanders are politically-motivated, they are not military commanders.

You overestimate the peshmerga, they haven't fought any battle against ISIS.

Abadi gave the order to take Kirkuk, PMU was heavily involved yes but it's not Soleimani telling PUK not to fight back. KDP's Peshmerga also crumbled in north-western Iraq (Mosul Dam).

KRG is very weak, its militia is led by Barzanis family members (Sirwan Barzani). It wasn't a big deal to take lands from them, the army could take Arbil if it wants.

Even if the entire Peshmerga fights back... it's a matter of time before they are doomed.
