Absolutely, religion and culture prevent progress for the society. Of course humans can limit the role religion plays in their society. Once you do that, you've abandoned your religion and aren't following it. So if Iran becomes more secular, limits religion role and advances in several fields, etc...don't attribute that to Islam or Shia Islam. I don't appreciate dirty games like that. I know some of you here think that way because you can't get over the ethnic tensions you have with Arabs. And you want 'Shia Islam' to appear superior by using the gains you get with secularism.

Uhm no, Sunni Islam is original Islam. Doesn't make any sense if you read more into it. Then the Muslim people, especially in the ME are fake, hypocritical people who use religion as a tool. Shia Islam is even more stupid than Sunni Islam. I don't believe in religion because there is evidence it is man made. And there is no sign on earth that a 'God' is watching out for us or influencing the course of events. If God was real, we would be very close to blow of trumpet by now since all minor signs are gone. The major ones should have started decades ago. But it's fake and manmade, so there's nothing gonna happen.

LOL, political preferences aren't influenced by religion. Sunni Islam is the original form of Islam. That's historical fact, not sure how that makes me any less agnostic than I am.

If this guy and most of the Muslims study in an open mind the period the Islam and Muslims especially Ahlul bayt face they will reach the same conclusion that me and many people like me got which is Islam and Muslims felt as victims to the way of rule and understanding of Kholafa of that period where those Kholafa burned the hadeeth of the prophet preventing Muslims of talking about the prophet's Hadeeth or even study those Hadeeths.
