ERBIL - Iraq on Friday filed a complaint to the UN Security Council over Iran's recent missile attack on the US bases in the country.

The Iraqi government argued that attacking the Iraqi territory under any pretexts is a violation on the country's sovereignty.

The complaint came after Iran launched a missile attack on two US bases in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq earlier on Wednesday morning.

Tehran later explained that the attack was in retaliation to the killing of Qassem Soleimani, the commander of its Quds Force.

Iraq also filed a UN complaint on the US attacks, that airbase is Iraqi not American. The attack is no less an attack on the Iraqi military, or you don't want to recognize our existence?

I agree, back in the day we used to invade and burn our neighbors. We need to get back to the golden days.

Iran is a big cancer to Iraq in every way, may Allah Azza w Jal enable a far-right fascist Arab nationalist to grab power. Al-Asad is an Iraqi airbase on top of that, the army holds a massive presence there. Such attacks degrade the army, no one that recognizes that apparently, Iran should attack more targets in Iraq, let the hostility grow.

That was pretty much a given, any attack by a foreign actor, allied or not is an automatic breach of sovereignty. Iraq would be amiss not not lodge a formal complain for it.
Iraq did the same with the US attack. And they went even further, if you count in the parliamentary vote.
