Qaher313 needs to get off the ground first. We need a CAS jet that can conduct ground support attacks. The war in Syria proved how vital CAS is, even with high quality T-90s, an advance can be halted without CAS support.

The simple point here, which apparently you can not comprehend is that your own Tempest is just a "cardboard" i.e a mockup. Your ability to turn it into a viable fighter jet is something remained to be seen. However a mockup is still a mockup.

Thread is about Hypersonic glide vehicle not hypersonic missile. A HGV maintains its high speed in the upper atmosphere and skips across building energy and avoiding a predictable trajectory reaching in excess of Mach 20.

A hypersonic missile is merely a missile with a warhead that can achieve high terminal speed without being cut up to shreds by physics. There is a limit to how fast a warhead can be in terminal phase in low altitude as forces of gravity and high thermal temperatures wreck havoc on the warhead.

Two different concepts.

Iran actually aqquired HGV during Ashoura Ballistic Missile program. And that was like 10 years ago! Iran is one of the leading country's in aerospace tech including HGVs. Altho it has not yet achieved MIRVs.
