Iran’s envoy lauds Indian assistance

Whats wrong with the Iranians? India cut off oil imports from Iran by half during sanctions.

And why are the Iranians falling head over heals for India!

Because India is worth having as a friend.

That may be an alien concept to you, since you only know the unequal master-poodle relationship in foreign relations, and not mutual friendship on equal terms. Both Iran and India excel at the latter. Even with superpowers like USA, we expect and desire only trade and friendship, we don't go begging them for military assistance or to set up naval bases in our countries because our own armed forces are inadequate.

BTW, India was one of the last countries to reduce oil import from Iran, and that too under the threat of extreme sanctions. We are not powerful enough to resist that amount of pressure. (We can take a lot more than Pakistan though.) Even the Iranian ambassador understands our compulsions, and says so in the article. I won't ask you to read it, since I don't want to inflict butthurt.

Your extremely close relations with House of Saud is no joking matter for us either, sending mercenaries to suppress the uprising in Bahrain, and being personal body guards for that filthy kingdom by sending regiments . Don't underestimate our capabilities and prowess.

we don't take sides in your British-created hatred and hostility towards each other, cuz we are neither sick minded nor run by weapon-manufacturing corporations !
Iran is not giving military bases to India or anybody else, it's strictly against our constitution to have military bases abroad or host others' in our soil, so let's all chillax and enjoy the breeze of peace and prosperity for now.

But you are giving access to our hindu enemy close to the borders of Balochistan

Its akin to us accepting the Saudi/U.S offer of working against you

No one is saying you will give military bases but with trucks and traffic may come wrspons and more interference in balochistan after we made it impossible for them to work in Afghanistan

Relax they are just trying to rile off the Jews

Both Iran and Israel are fully aware of India's close and cordial relationship with the other. Neither of them have a problem with it, because both of them know that India won't poke its nose into their regional disputes. There might be a lesson in there for the USA.

Yea, deal with it. India and Iran are civilizations with a rich history and powerful identity. Our ties are assessed and measured in millennia, not in months or weeks like Pakistan's problems are.

We taught Afghanistan a lesson for being close to India. If Iran wants to follow Afghanistan's footsteps, well then, it will be their lesson to learn.

Could you tell us what the lesson was? At the moment, it is Pakistan that is learning lessons of meddling in Afghanistan. Or not learning, judging by your attitude.

Oh BTW, I don't know if you realize this, but Iran is no Afghanistan. They have stood up to the USA and emerged stronger from it. While Pakistan was fighting USA's war for them, and even hosting American bases in Pakistan, from where they would bomb Pakistan.

Just be honest Bro u belong to and Islamic Country not like ours, us should be more responsible towards other Muslims.
Many Pakistan Professionals even from security forces are also serving after their retirement in Iran. As per protecting Saud family this is not a crime or shame. They are rulers there because their majority citizens want it. Just like majority Shia Iranis want Shia rule in Iran. Stop cursing other for those qualities which are present in your own country. Many retired Army professionals of Sunni/Wahabi faith are serving in defense sector of Arab countries mostly for economic benefits not on sectarian grounds as u think.

If KSA and Iran hate each other this is due to fact they prefer their sect over religion. I take wahabism and Shiaim both different from religion. Please act like educated people as u are much better educated then Saudis.

U can bring peace in Islamic world by direct talks witrh KSA, Pak can help in it. Further to your point that u have not given basis to India just like ur leaders many Pak officials have proofs of Iran involvement with sepratists of Baluchistan in order to disturb progress in Gawader which is painful fact. U can't just deny every fact. Even Iran can play role in bringing peace in Yemen as Iran has much influence over Houtis.

This is a matter of national security and like Pakistan took iean into account by not going forward withthe Saudi and American plan we expect a similar consideration by the iranians

OK, we'll wait and watch. Will Iranians cave under Pakistani pressure, like Pakistan caved under American pressure? LOL, the answer is obvious. Iranians did not even flinch under American pressure. Pakistan is in no position to make threats. Neither is Pakistan in the league of USA to pressurize Iran, nor is Iran in the league of Pakistan, to be bullied by others.

But time will tell.

@PatriotLover, Leave it man, after being humiliated by a tiny Nepal and the game changing Pak-China economical corridor progress, the Indians are suffering from an inflammatory rectum thus they need news from any quarters to ease the pain.

Pakistan against all odds and sanctions and without oil to sustain us, went through the nuclear barrier

We have survived against a enemy 7 times larger than us, through wars and hostility

The iranians dont know what pressure is

For a long time we simply would have accepted any Saudi/American plan and helped surround and harm iran

But to the suprise of many Pakistani military and political establishment resisted and stated we have to live with iran we are neighbors we dot not wish to get into the middle of the pissing contest between them and the saudis

The iranian foreign minister even came to Pakistan to ask us to be wise

Now we are asking the same from iran, our enemy which has occupied Kashmir could utilise the proximity of Chabahar to further fund and destabilise Balochistan

Now iran can refuse, sure it can but in turn it then needs to accept that they have forced Pakistans hand and action will be taken against india in both Afghanistan (lets see how peaceful their transit will be) and if no option is available then with the Saudis abd Americans against iran

India on our border can not be ignored if iran does not rake our national security into account then how can we do the same for them

lolwa..game changing :omghaha: :omghaha:

Same kind of statements are given by envoy of every other for nearly every other country. It isn't something new to be cheered about.

What 's wrong with you? Unless it threatens our security and stability, Iran is free to have whatever type of relation with Iran. We just need to play our cards and we are fine. No need to feel threatened or nervous on nothing.

Kindly keep Pakistan out of this thread if all you've got is cheap remarks and pointless blabbering.

If you have something worthwhile to contribute because of your knowledge about geo-politics and the ramifications of such a deal, discuss in a sane manner.

“I used to dream of a Persia where bulbuls made love to the roses, where in dreamland gardens poets sat around their wine cups and invoked visions of ineffable meanings. But now that I have come to your country my dream has been formed into a concrete image that finds its permanent place in the inner chamber of my experience … I have visited Sa’di's tomb; I have sat beside the resting place of Hafiz and intimately felt his touch in the glimmering green of your woodlands, in blossoming roses. The past age of Persia lent the old world perfume of its own sunny hours of spring to the morning of that day and the silent voice of your ancient poet filled the silence in the heart of the poet of Modern India”

– Rabindranath Tagore, 09 May 1932.

That's a sublimely beautiful quote. But then, one wouldn't expect anything less from Tagore.

With India in the picture there aren't any geo political ramifications..just plain business and investments.
