hey guys i am making this thread to show irans ancient past as recently i was disgusted by some people saying we have no history before islam.

Interesting thing to note about Iran is that though they can't be classified as South Asians or Central Asians or Arabs , they have had significant cultural impact on all these three regions .

i m a big admirer of ancient Persian culture. ancient Persia was far more advanced & prosperous than any other civilization of ancient era. i don't like western attitude towards ancient Persia. they always portray ancient Persians as bad, ruthless ppl. just look at 300 movie, the so called Persians in that movie was not even minutely related to Persians in fact they were looking like some sort of aliens.

indeed 300 is made by someone who don't know anything about Persia
just two points except the fact he took the cartoon (original story is from cartoon) to show persians as devils lol:
1/ our king was never nude but it is opposite. they were very dressed.
2/ they put arab dresses for the soldiers
my wife met an american trader not a long time ago : he said to her "why Iraq and Iran were making war? they are the same civilization right?"

so it is just ignorance

Everybody is aware of ancient Iranian culture.

Most well-adjusted Iranians are able to appreciate both the ancient as well as Islamic culture of Iran. It's only the emotionally damaged losers who are unable to reconcile both aspects of Iranian history and must chose one over the other.

There is nothing wrong with there being muslims in iran, iran was a multi religious state in the time of cyrus, i am saying iran should not be an islamic republic thats all..

WTF are you talking about, this thread is about iranians realizing there is no place for an islamic republic of iran in our great history. you just dont like the idea of there being iranian who want nothing to do with islam, you call us losers and insult us and yet who are you to tell us that?

I think his comments are fair, i dont see anything provocative in his post. Yes, off course there are iranians who dont want islam, which is fair,, and we shouldnt forget that alot others want islam, so it is best to keep the balance.

PS. It's got nothing to do with Islam. Anybody who wants to deny a significant part of their own history has some serious problems. Same thing applies to Pakistanis who deny our pre-Islamic history.

There are so many people in iran like me, the youngsters of iran are starting to go back to their own roots and stay away from this religion.
