If he says he interviewed Taliban commanders for this article (as he has done in past articles) I believe him. Couple that with U.S. intelligence and captured Iranian manufactured munitions. And the story gains more credence. And I still say Khamenei's hatred of the U.S. (the Great Satan) is far stronger then his hatred of the Taliban.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has publicly backed his Afghan counterpart, Hamid Karzai. But American and British officials have accused Iran of playing a double game by giving covert backing to the Taliban.
