Iranians are dissatisfied

I think it is obvious. People do consider their pockets as a priority (despite any moral or ethical speeches they may give on altruism). It remains their pockets that they care about the most, and little else. When the Iranian people see their money being burned over Asad and Houthis, what would anyone expect to happen?

I heard with my own ears... common iranians don't like mulla paying for foreign wars and organizing revolutionaries in foreign states.

Over 70% were dissatisfied with efforts to advance democracy and protect personal and civil rights. Hope for improvement in relations with the West and Arab neighbors also fared poorly—with 65% of Iranians saying they were dissatisfied with the progress their government has made in improving relations with Arab governments and 85% displeased with the efforts to improve ties with the US and the West.

Dissasatisfaction is not limited to economics its far more when it comes to foreign policy.
Inside Iran... public is clear that Iran regime and US are very close to each other, but obviously PRESS is misleading the public.

The sane folks in Iran are aware and unhappy. The insane folks among Iranians have got their brains washed, ironed, and folded. These insane ones join the Basij, IRGC, and the rest of it to implement the Mullah's expansionist ideology. The insane win b/c they got the state support, oil money, and arms.

is american govt really doing what Americans want? why is congress rating soo low yet americans cant "reset" it? My point is that the citizens perception of national priorities is often different from their govt. US is a good example. So why is it when Iranian govt does something different from what (ignorant and naive) masses expect that means Iran is hell? Just seems to be a double standard.

Besides, it seems obvious to me that there are several Pakistanis here who just wish Iran could be and operate just like Pakistan. smh.

In IRAN i see a future super power and one of the leaders of the Islamic Ummah IF AND ONLY IF Iran leaves its hatred towards Sunnis in general and KSA in particular, Iranians are our muslim brothers why would someone brainwash them that its more sacred to be a shia instead of being a muslim who doesn't believe in Firqa-bandi, just imagine if there were no Shia-Sunni rift in the Muslim Ummah, Middle east would have been the only super power in the world...I am a muslim only but if u differentiate me on the basis of shia or sunni then i am a born sunni but guess what? my name is one of the most beloved names in shia community and my shia brothers and sisters have always given me love and respect, we pakistanis are ALHAM DU LILLAH blessed in this regard, i pray and wish that we become more muslims than shias or sunnis...

your mistake is that your kind of people think problem is sectarian and then make story base on that, but this is completely wrong assumption.
This is struggle for power not anything more.

unfortunately, popularity of rohani and his gang fall. I said unfortunately because I was his fan 4 years ago but he lied about source of the problem.
He got nuclear deal but he didn't solve problems while he said that with dealing with American problem would solve.
Jobs and money is in priority and it seems that rohani with his moving to west mindset can not solve problems, he thought that Iran is like Turkey and with reaching deal western company would come to Iran and make job for Iranian and will increase his popularity and be next supreme leader.

otherwise, supreme leader was right when he said nuclear is excuse and they would not normalize their relation and lift sanctions with reaching deal.
Trump put Iran in the ban list without thinking about consequences, and also they are working on increasing sanctions on Iran.
Iranian always are dissatisfied do you can only find one period that they are satisfied, but the source is more important.
the source of dissatisfying for this time is really bad news for the anti Iran gangs because if the rohani lose election ...

It is the first time that I hear Iran hatred towards Sunnis.

Fact number one:

Iranian people had a lot of money in their pocket before the revolution and yet decided they don't like the way their country is run. Money is not everything. Sometimes people give up their comfort for things they perceive more valuable like independence and power. Money will come later when they are achieved.

Fact number two:

Nation's wealth and well being is as much a matter of internal events and policies as they are a result of external dynamics. A country that does not try to shape the environment around it in a favorable way, has only two choices: 1- submit to a world power and ask for protections, or
2- react to what is happening around it and hope for the best (Iran has tried both ways and it was not satisfactory)

Fact number three:

Iran is not doing anything in Yemen. It is understandable why Iran is being blamed otherwise how can the coalition justify not getting the desired result in a war against a defenseless country?

Fact number four:

Syria is Iran's ally and has requested Iran's assistance. If for nothing else but its reputation, Iran needs to help Syria overcome this crisis as they helped us during war with Iraq.

Iranian people understand all of above very well and the poll results that I posted in thread #9 above approves it.

We don't hate Sunnis. We hate our enemies regardless of their belief and nationality. Iran is the only Shia country in the world so any conflict between Iran and any other country can be falsely interpreted as a sectarian conflict between Shia and Sunni or Shia and Judaism or Shia and Christianity because there is no other Shia country in world.
