This is an American guy that made a light RC model and you can read his comments as what he thinks as how this aircraft that he built ranks up with the others

In terms of subsonic flight this aircraft is full capable of flying the only question is does it meet any of the requirement of Iran's military and in my opinion it does not because I personally believe that Iran shouldn't invest in any other fighter other than large 2 engine supersonic interceptors and or Air Superiority fighters & jet trainers.

To me an F-16 or J-10 is as useless as the Q-313 in terms of Iran's needs but that doesn't mean the aircraft is incapable of flying!!! And honestly I think you would have to be an absolute moron to think that!

And it's a 1.5 stage meaning the meaning the guidance system and warhead separate and the guidance system has a small engine WOW nice job Iran

Every Saudi Target SAM, Air field, Radar, Power Plant from Iran to Riyadh is gone!!! And in ma matter of minutes!!!!!!

And ain't nothing you can do about it!!! turning it into a 1.5 stage missile has increased accuracy and reduced RCS and we can volley them in numbers and it will be nonstop because these are missiles that Iran builds by turning simple rock, dirt and oil from it's own soil into missiles!!!!

Does that aircraft look like a 5th gen fighter to you??? It's a sub sonic aircraft If anything Iran would have used it in the same manner the U.S. used the F-117....

And for people that don't know!!!

Fiberglass type S is stronger than Carbon Fiber what makes Carbine Fiber so special is it's stress level and weight which about 15% lighter but fiberglass type s is in terms of strength is stronger than strengthened steel and carbon fiber it just has a low stress level and if you can somehow solve that then your in business

Also you can build a low speed working prototype around it because at low speeds and low friction (heat) and low speed low stress you wont have a problems!!

Regardless as Iran's defense minister said that will not be the finale product of Iran was to accept it's production!!!
and for me unless Iran turns it into a large 2 engine fighter with BVR & IRIST capability then it's worthless in terms of Iran's needs!!! but that doesn't preclude that it's a fully functional design

And in terms of technology Iran has the technology to build the airframe (not the engine, radar...) but the airframe is fully within Iran's technical knowhow it's just going to require a lot of cash!!!

I believe even the latest versions of the Fattah the 313 is also a 1.5 stages version
I believe the 3rd generation of the Fatteh-110 also separated but didn't have a booster

1st generation of the Fatteh-110 had a CEP of 25-50 meters with an effective range of 250 km
2nd generation reduced it to 18-25 meter CEP but the effective range was still at 250 km
3rd Generation allowed for separation which gave it an increased range and accuracy but still lacked a rocket booster

Fatteh-313 increased the size by a small amount to makeup for the increased weight of a booster that gave it an effective range ~500km but reduced CEP due to the design of the finale stage

With the Zolfaghar I believe they did a few major upgrade modifications other than size

1st they moved the flight control fins further back at the end of the final stage and this gives you greater and more accurate control.
2. The booster fuel tank is placed in front of flight control guidance that feeds a small booster they managed to fix at the end.
3.The compressed air for separation has been placed at the end of the booster rocket rather than behind the flight control

As a result the Zolfaghar I believe has the capability to be more accurate than the Fatteh class and I also believe they will likely make the same type of modification to future Fatteh class.

I believe Zolfaghar has a max range of 750km an effective range of 700km and the ability to hit targets at a closer to 90 degree angle up to 650kkm for harden targets

I think if Zolfaghar is as good as advertise Iran should at least build 12 or more of these factories maybe even 24 of them 12 operational and 12 in reserve ready to go if and when needed!
