And if you doubt it's capability go ask the U.S. Navy how Iran took out a target in the Indian Ocean using a Ballistic Missile fired from`1500 km away! That's what made them go ballistic about Iran's Emad Missile whos range is even less than Iran's Sejil-2 Missiles

can you provide any source? Im very curious about this missile used against a target in the Indian Ocean

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Look who is talking, old and crappy F14s, F4s (Which were shot down by the Saudis which are clearly superior than you http://www.nytimes.com/1984/06/06/world/2-iranian-fighters-reported-downed-by-saudi-air-force.html) and F5s
And Mig 29s and bunch of more crappy Russian jets, while we have F15s and F16s extensively upgraded with modern munitions :lol::lol::lol: Soon we will receive 75 F35I which are Israeli upgraded planes that will beat up your crappy planes

Bavar 373 is just as real as your F313 "Stealth fighter jet":lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Oh yeah? So why is your army is dominantly made out of crappy T55s and SPG9s and RPG9s and BMP1s
and BTR60s and T72s and T62s? Your army is useless :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Sorry, our air defense system is world grade, yours are just BS and you know it

You're nothing

So much bullshit in one comment

Also, give me the source of the "Using a ballistic missile fired from 1500km away"
It sounds similar to what Israeli submarines are using, nuclear armed cruise missiles

@waz Comeon no double standards

David sling, arrow-3 etc etc are all American techs.

Unlike you I provided sources and evidence. Even janes International and your own Uzi rubin testifies to our technology.

Even Americans testifying to Iranian designed missile power:

Iranian airforce has has little priority so no wonder for lack of development. As Iranian anti tank missile, this is what they did to your merkava junk:

hqdefault.jpg

You call Iran's arm useless but a small group created by Iran called hezbollah utterly raped Israeli.Imagine what Iran could do to you. Iran could destroy your fake midget state with ease.

Your air defence and airforce is a joke that can't even shoot down an Iranian UAV operated by Hezbollah

Sigh another "Zulfiqar" eeh?. Come on cant you name it like Darius or Cyrus something, would have been more epic.

.
What type is it? Is it another soviet reverse engineering project?

And whats the point of these missiles without nuclear capabilities? It would be much better for an airstrike instead.

ahh are you jealous??? If Iran wanted a nuke we could have built one a decade ago! And Iran doesn't need it because it has no practical use!! And the fact that Iran has the capability to build them is deterrent enough against Nuclear powered nations

At a range of 750km we can use our missiles to 1st take out all Air Defenses Systems, radars, Air Bases, ports, power plants within 700km and only then will we send our fighters in to take out soft lower value targets

A single F-35 costs over $100 million USD and that's just for the aircraft you still need parts, pilot and maintenance training, maintenance equipment, weapons, bunker, fuel, etc so the cost of keeping a single F-35 for a year will be about $300 Million USD or more. Iran can build over 500 of these missiles for the cost of a single F-35 in it's fleet for a single year! The cheapest PGM in the U.S. is JDAM's and the U.S. pays $25,000 for each one and sells it for more than double that and any PGM that has a greater accuracy than Iran's Zolfagar missiles like the SDB 2 (GBU-53) cost $250,000 for the U.S. military in 2014 that means today Iran can build Zolfaghar missiles for about the same price the U.S. would sell it's GBU-53 with 5x the payload

And now for Iran the need for initial strategic bombings of high value targets up to 700km will be met with these missiles.
And 500 of these missiles alone with conventional payloads can take out every SAM, Radar and Air Bases within 700km of Iran and they can do it far better than an F-35 ever could... And this will give Iranian UAV's, Helicopters, Artillery systems, etc free rain to control the front lines

And if enemy fighters have to take off from 700 km away with no Air Defense systems to back them just to simply reach Iran's boarders then their ability to conduct Air strikes and gain Air Superiority over Iran will practically be impossible unless they are equipped with stealth bombers like the B-2 and fighters with super cruise capability and the only produced fighter in the world that has that capability is the F-22 and the only country that has it is the U.S.

Missiles alone can't make up for an Air Force but the fact is the only fighter Iran truly needs is Air Superiority fighters and maybe in the future large stealth & or large high speed bombers because Iranian Missiles, UCAV, Helicopters, precision guided weapons from all ranges from 1km - 750km ATGM's Basir Artillery, Bina Missile, Fatteh-110, Ya Ali cruise missile & have basically removed the required need for close air support fighter.

And up to 1700km Iran can hit power plants, military bases and airbases not with an accuracy that can take out a bunker like the Zolfaghar can but good enough that it can decommission them for a good period of time

So the only type of Aircraft Iran truly needs are fighters to protect it's forces from other aircrafts.... And today there are only 2 countries in the world that have the capability to gain air superiority over Iran and that's the U.S. & Russia!
Iran and Russia are both allies and I doubt the U.S. would put every base and asset it has within 2000km of Iran at risk

So again, are you jealous :(

FYI when it comes to Ballistic missiles Iran has been designing it's own for over a decade!

There are no missiles in the world that look like Iran's Sejil-1, Sejil-2, Safir SLV, Qiam-1, Fatteh 110, Fatteh-313, Zolfaghar,...
Even Iran's Gadir F & H may look like a scud but in terms of range, length & diameter they are nothing alike.

I bet it's pretty hard not to be jealous of Iran! I mean we are the fastest growing country in the world in science and technology so I understand it's hard not to be jealous

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran on Wednesday unveiled its latest home-made long-range ballistic missile system with a Multiple Re-entry Vehicle payload. [+PHOTOS]
Zolfaqar, the latest generation of Iran's long-range missiles, which was unveiled in the Southern port city of Bandar Abbas during the nationwide parades of Armed Forces, is capable of carrying Multiple Reentry Vehicle (MRV) payloads and can rains down missiles on ground targets with a high level of precision-striking power.

Also during the parades, two home-made missile systems, named Khatam 5 and Khatam 7, were unveiled.

The Khatam 5 and 7 missile systems enjoy high mobility and can trace, track and destroy targets with a high level of maneuverability.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s recently-unveiled Martyr Nazeri vessel, capable of being sent to far-distance missions with no need to refueling and carrying helicopters, also sailed in Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf during the parades.

Typical units of the Islamic Republic Army, the IRGC, Basij forces and the Islamic Republic of Iran's Law Enforcement Police participated in the today parades.

Foreign delegates as well as military and civilian officials were also present in the ceremony. Ranking commanders of the Armed Forces also took part in the ceremony.

The latest military and defense achievements made by Iranian experts were put on display at the parades, including the long-range Qadr F missile system with a range of 2,000km, Sejjil missile system with a range of 2,000km, Qadr H missile system with a range of 1,650km, Emad missile system with a range of 1,650km, Qassed smart bombs, Qaem, Nasr, Fakour 90 and a range of air-launched missiles, torpedoes, sea-based and coast-to-sea missiles.

Scores of other new products including different types of modernized tanks, armors, missile and rocket launchers, electronic, communications and CentCom systems as well as the long-range S-200 and S-300 air defense missile systems, mid-range Shalamche and Mersad missile systems and various naval vessels and coast and sea-based weapons systems went on display in the parades in the Southern port city of Bandar Abbas today.

Iran has made giant advancements in developing long-range missiles in recent years.

The IRGC fired 2 home-made 'Qadr H' ballistic missiles from the Eastern Alborz Mountains at a target in Iran's Southeastern Makran seashore some 1400km away in March.

The missiles were fired on the sidelines of the main stage of the IRGC drills in Central Iran and various parts of the country.

One missile had a message written on it that said in Hebrew: "Israel should be wiped off the Earth".

Qadr is a 2000km-range, liquid-fuel and ballistic missile which can reach territories as far as Israel.

The missile can carry different types of ‘Blast’ and ‘MRV’ (Multiple Reentry Vehicle) payloads to destroy a range of targets. The new version of Qadr H can be launched from mobile platforms or silos in different positions and can escape missile defense shields due to their radar-evading capability.

A Multiple Reentry Vehicle payload for a ballistic missile deploys multiple warheads in a pattern against a single target. (As opposed to Multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle, which deploys multiple warheads against multiple targets.) The advantage of an MRV over a single warhead is that the damage produced in the center of the pattern is far greater than the damage possible from any single warhead in the MRV cluster, this makes for an efficient area attack weapon. Also, the sheer number of warheads make interception by Anti-ballistic missiles unlikely.

Improved warhead designs allow smaller warheads for a given yield, while better electronics and guidance systems allowed greater accuracy. As a result MIRV technology has proven more attractive than MRV for advanced nations. Because of the larger amount of nuclear material consumed by MRVs and MIRVs, single warhead missiles are more attractive for nations with less advanced technology. The United States deployed an MRV payload on the Polaris A-3. The Soviet Union deployed MRVs on the SS-9 Mod 4 ICBM.

Addressing the Wednesday parades, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri underlined that the United States' largest military aid package in its history ($3.8bln) to Israel has persuaded Iran to further advance and increase its defense power.

"The criminal (US') move to sign an agreement to present a supportive military package to the Zionist regime is a desperate attempt to protect the security vacuum of the regime and makes us more determined to increase our military power," General Baqeri said.

The top commander stressed that Iran will continue designing and building different defense systems and equipment for the naval, ground and air force units as well as producing different types of missiles, reiterating that the country's military tests and wargames will also continue according to the timeline.

General Baqeri underscored that Iran is precisely monitoring enemies' moves, and said the Armed Forces analyze and foil the regional and trans-regional enemies' moves before hostile actions are taken.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran considers regional security and stability as its own security and doesn’t have any greedy eyes on others' territories and is no threat to any regional state," he added.

Apparently Iran has more than one missile with MIRV technology, it has been stated and demonstrated a while ago...

Here is a Chinese Missile about the same size as the Iranian one that was paraded, so this is the most probable MIRV configuration:

Iran Claims to have Acquired MIRV Missile Technology

Iran’s FARS News Agency posted the following disturbing news article this morning:

Exclusive: Iran Equips Qadr H, Qiam Ballistic Missiles with MRV Payloads
TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Defense Ministry has equipped its Qadr H and Qiam ballistic missiles with its newly developed Multiple Reentry Vehicle (MRV) payloads, a military hi-tech owned only by a handful of the world states.

The two missiles are capable of carrying different types of ‘Blast’ and ‘MRV’ payloads, and can destroy a wide range of targets. The new version of Qadr H and Qiam can be launched from mobile platforms or silos in different positions and can escape missile defense shields due to their radar-evading capability.

Qadr is a 2000km-range, liquid-fuel and ballistic missile which can reach territories as far as Israel. Qiam is also a new type of surface to surface and cruise missile of Iran.

The United States deployed an MRV payload on the Polaris A-3. The Soviet Union deployed MRVs on the SS-9 Mod 4 ICBM. Refer to atmospheric reentry for more details.

Iran announced on February 10 that it had successfully tested two new missiles, including a laser-guided surface-to-surface and air-to-surface missile and a new generation of long-range ballistic missiles carrying Multiple Reentry Vehicle payloads.

The missiles were test-fired in a ceremony on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution to mark the occassion.

Speaking during the ceremony, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan noted Iran’s newly developed ballistic missile with MRV payload, and said it has been designed and produced for destroying enemy’s military hardware and all types of enemy military equipment.

“Evading enemy’s anti-missile defense systems, the capability of destroying massive targets and destroying multiple targets are specifications of this missile,” the Iranian defense minister said, but did not name the new weapon.

A few hours later on the same day, President Rouhani congratulated the Supreme Leader, the nation and the military forces on the giant achievement.

Tehran launched an arms development program during the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war on Iran to compensate for a US weapons embargo. Since 1992, Iran has produced its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles and fighter planes.

Yet, Iranian officials have always stressed that the country’s military and arms programs serve defensive purposes and should not be perceived as a threat to any other country.

This story has also been picked up by the Associated Press and should send off alarm bells within the Israeli defense establishment and NATO as the Iranians now have the technology to hit multiple targets not just in Israel, but also Europe putting US bases in that area in grave danger. This fact will not escape the notice of America’s military leadership as this will force an acceleration of deployment of ABM systems throughout Europe.

@Arminkh

With 750km range, it seems this missile now easily can wipe out a good chunk of Persian gulf states' strategic sites. These missiles can be produced in vast numbers too.

In a span of one year, they went from the 500km fateh-313 to this one. If they keep it up, soon the Fateh family can even reach the zionist state!

Can anyone post a map showing how much 750km can cover? Cheers.

I agree it is a great achievement but until the total dimension and warhead weight is revealed, the range increase may be due to smaller war head.

If it be as accurate as latest fateh-313 and still be capable of delivering the 600 kg, then it is as good as Iskander missile.

The warhead is 500kg. @yavar
Since it uses multiple warheads, I am assuming 4x those I posted earlier, then it should be around 500kg. I doubt it would be less.

can you provide any source? Im very curious about this missile used against a target in the Indian Ocean

Would do no good to you unless you speak Farsi or can get someone to translate because the source is an Iranian General speaking in Farsi,,,, I'll post the video if I find it,,, In the video he claims U.S. spy planes were present and observed... He doesn't name the Emad missile specifically just that they used a Ballistic Missile to take out a target in the Indian ocean 1,500 km away and that U.S. spy planes were close enough to observe the event

And the rest is facts speaking for themselves in U.S. behavior going all ballistic about Iran's test of the Emad missile whos range is less than previously tested solid fueled Sejil-2 missile

. . . . .
This is what you wanted to see, right? Riyadh and all KSA oil fields, and whole area of countries like Quatar, Emirate and Bahrain. Fifth fleet base can easily be hit:

Thanks dadash.
Seem all their main facilities especially in the eastern areas are now withing range of even our Fateh missile

True. They can use it as some kind of highly accurate and long range artillery. It may even cover Syrian operation around Aleppo!
