Americans used various stealth tech on this version of the RQ-4 from RCS reduction to noise & heat reduction technology that is clearly present among the wreckage shown so far so we now have access to various advanced U.S. stealth and composite tech that Iran can now improve on for use in the next generation of high end Iranian UCAV's.

I don't know if they recovered any of the sensors, electronics or engine but even without them this is a major lost for U.S. technology

No that is obviously Russian stealth UAV Okhotnik
nope it's one of simurgh family i'm not sure which one but it's not okhotnik. the antennas over the structure the different engine exhaust, the round mount beneath it and...

Its made of this composite material

Wrong. Technically -- wrong.

There are three main types of composites:

- Atomic
- Molecular
- Gross

Atomic. Water is a composite. It is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Basic chemistry.

Molecular. Steel is a composite. It is composed of iron and carbon.

Gross. Concrete is a composite. It is composed of structurally whole parts such as rocks and sand.

In aviation, composites are desired more for weight savings than for RCS reduction.

If you want to talk about RCS reduction via materials, then the proper words are 'radar absorbent materials' or RAM, which are composites but deliberately designed for radar relating purposes. But to use the word 'inherently' means all composites have the same trait, which is technically wrong.

It's made of layers of high end composites (not just any composite but layers of RAM composites including RAM resin) that all put together are still capable of absorbing radar (trap and or scatter) and this is simply one of the many layers but not all composites are capable of doing that especially when put together for example most standard fiberglass resins and materials with standard treatment when put together will echo radar frequency like a mirror and are not less visible at all same goes for most alloy composites like Ti composites or Al composites.... And Iran produces a long list of various composites however nothing as advanced and as stealthy as the materials used on this version of the Global Hawk for this is a +$180Million USD aircraft & the tech, materials & the design of the materials used to construct it's airframe is something most countries don't have access too and it's one of the reasons why the aircraft's price tag is over $100 Million USD.
U.S. used various high end composites all across the aircraft from composites meant to reduce engine heat to composites meant to reduce engine noise to composites used to reduce RCS all while reducing weight and at the same time keeping a sufficient amount of tensile strength and stress to handle very long flight hours and although the aircraft may not look very stealthy from the outside due to it's very large Radar dome but in actuality it's RCS is a lot smaller than you would think.

The American Global Hawk was flying at +50,000ft in silent mode and Iran didn't use a fixed site using a massive radar and large missiles like the S-200 or SA-2 and they didn't use the imported Russian S-300 to bring it down but rather used a "highly mobile" and domestically produced SAM that can easily be hidden and deployed rather quickly.
And this was a major blow to the prestige and fear factor of the Global Hawk on top of the loss of U.S. tech to Iran and likely to Chinese and Russian hands and a major gain in the prestige of the Iranian produced SAM system that demolished the delusion some Americans have about Iranian produced weapons being fake mockups and or photoshopped.

Those arent stealth material I have that stuff at home from a meeting with a few pilots here, a few years back. It's used in all planes it's very hard compared to other material.

it was allegedly not the first Global Hawk that they lost in the middle east...
