Mohajer-6 with twin miniaturized Spike of Islam ATGM . Gotta be honest, that's pretty nice.
I meant the rail. Rail carrying twin spikes of each sidewrong twine on each side total of 4 of you consider both side
you protect them by storing them without fuel or explosive at small number in lots of different placesI meant the rail. Rail carrying twin spikes of each side
Now here's the thing.
How do you protect all these drones? From production material shown years ago, the stockpiling of drones is well beyond 1000+ of various sizes and capabilities. Alot of them being small recon drones.
The explosion in the warehouse carrying drones, whether accidentally or covert action begs the question how do you protect these assets sufficiently to justify producing several 1000s of small PGMs for them that can win you a ground conflict.
Realistically every drone base needs to be a mountain take-off base like this; I don't think will happen with the regular army, but could happen with the IRGC who is in this type of business. Surprised they haven't done it already for the S-129s and Mohajer series.

It works if your storing in peacetime, but in conflict time you need to consolidate your forces to run big operations. Theirs needs to be secure bases near the zone of conflict. If Iran needs to run ops in the Persian gulf, the IRAIF base in Isfahan put many drones with low range out of action.you protect them by storing them without fuel or explosive at small number in lots of different places
Has Iran reverse engineering these rotax engines? Some more pics of the ababil 5.
One of the things I`ve noticed is that the prop and spinner looks to be the same as the one on the shahed 129.It also has a single exhaust pipe exiting on the right hand side, again like the shahed 129 and unlike the symmetrical arraignment on the mohajer 6.
So I`m beginning to think that Amir might be right, and that this is actually slightly larger than the mohajer 6 and possibly uses the shahed 129s 914 rotax engine rather than the mohajer 6s 912.
Iran doesnt seem to have bothered so far,as these do seem to be pretty accessible via the civilian market, tho I`ve no doubt that if supplies suddenly dried up this could be reverse/reengineered pretty easily,as we`re talking about basically a 70s era level of automotive engine technology,in fact rotax didnt even fit fuel injection to the 914 until a couple of years ago.Has Iran reverse engineering these rotax engines?
that why I say various different bases ,what those fortified base provide is some limited bases that putshort range drones outside the range of operation region. It works if your storing in peacetime, but in conflict time you need to consolidate your forces to run big operations. isn't 914 a turbocharged 912Looks like confirmation that the kaman 22 is powered by the rotax 912 rather than the expected rotax 914.
Rather an odd choice considering the size of the kaman 22,which is closer to the shahed 129 rather than the mohajer 6.
Yes,its about 35hp difference between the 2,tho the version in the kaman could possibly be the injected 912is version which does produce similar power to the 914,but without the turbo I`d expect it to have far worse performance at altitude.isn't 914 a turbocharged 912
but lack of turbo won't reduce the fuel use and increase the drone enduranceYes,its about 35hp difference between the 2,tho the version in the kaman could possibly be the injected 912is version which does produce similar power to the 914,but without the turbo I`d expect it to have far worse performance at altitude.
