Amazing accomplishment for a country under such intense sanctions for so long. Congratulations to all Iranians and the Islamic world at large. An Iranian military satellite, mounted on a domestically-built rocket, was sent into space by the air arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday. The device is said to be the first of its kind in the country.
Called Qassed, the two-stage rocket blasted off on Wednesday from an undisclosed location in “the central desert,” with the Noor 1 satellite on board. It remains to be seen whether the launch has been completely successful, although state media said the satellite reached an altitude of 425km.

Congrats IRGC, congrats Iranian members...Amazing accomplishment for a country under such intense sanctions for so long. Congratulations to all Iranians and the Islamic world at large.
They try to hide whether first stage ist liquid or solid.
But I'm certain it is solid and >=1,5m in diameter.
Second stage was shown two months ago and should be 1,25m.
With this dimensions it is de facto a small, light ICBM.
Congratulations to everyone!
reason being IRGC launch it NOT (DOD)defense ministry in corporation space agency (ISA)FINALLY a satellite that did not fail..
