Iranian Space program

Possibly Sarir SLV with 2.4 meter diameter is a Hwasong -15 (also 2,4 m diameter) which has RD-250 engine based on more efficient (compared to Simorgh) hypergolic propellant.

So Sarir might be a test proven Hwasong-15 + additional upper stage

This will allow Iran not just to develop more efficient SLV but also liquid fuel ICBM technology.

Surush 4 meter diameter first stage + 2m diameter 2nd stage + thirds and fourth stage

The second+thirds+fourth stage of Surush might be a potential solid fuel ICBM
Even if you just used the 2nd,3rd and 4 stages that would still be a massive solid fueled icbm pretty much in the same class as the ss24 or mx,not to mention that the first stage of a solid fueled surush alone would have a diameter equal to the shuttles solid fueled boosters.
I think the 4m surush is likely liquid fueled as this would allow the use of 4 rd250/paektusan motors which would give you the ability to put large multi ton payloads into leo.The 3m diameter tskylon 3 uses 3 rd250 variants for its first stage is able to put around 4000+kg into leo.
Another possible option would be to develop a liquid fueled twin chambered engine based on 2 4d10s from the khorramshar, the dprk was working on that before it was able to reverse/reengineer the rd250.

Nope. Wrong.

If you would have taken time to read Sarir is Simorgh with a 3rd stage added....that’s it. Simorgh is also 2.4M in diameter.

It's like Fabian Hintz knows everything---who is this guy---just one California based researcher.

Simorgh with its Scud'type propellant is a dead end.

Khorramshahr/ Hwasong-15 like propellant N204/UDMH is more likely for Sarir especially as news about Iran assisting North Korea in development of a 80 ton engine appeared in 2013 and several years later Hwasong-15 with its 80 ton engine took off

If Sarir with 35m length and 2.4 meter diameter is based on N204/UDMH (just like Khorramshahr and Hwasong-15) then Sarir can also be used as a heavy silo based ICBM like SS-18 Satan (also based on N204/UDMH and has 32m length 3m diameter and can deliver 10 1MT warheads + 40 fake warheads)

its kinda depressing if you look at this pic, seeing the dimensions compared, but yeah, you have to start at some point.....

An Iranian ICBM is more likely to be based on an up-scaled Sejill than a Hwasong-15. Iran's liquid fuel space program isn't military in nature, Iran has already been testing 80-90 ton solid fuel rocket motors for quite a few years now. And the head of Iran's space program recently admitted that they're working on solid fuel rockets which would tie in with a ICBM program if there was one.

it’s good to be confident but not boasting. Every time in history Iran was an underdog, with big ambition but with humble attitude, they’ve thrived and overcome.

iranians should be proud for what they’ve accomplished in the past decades, but there is still a long way to the top!

2.4 diameter uniform SLV and 4m Souroush is about to change the game for Iran's space ambitions.

I wonder what is the payload of Sarir and 4m diameter Souroosh....

Probably around 1.5 ton for Sarir and 8 tons give or take for Souroush. Would depend if the latter has additional rocket booster than the payload to orbit could definitely increase.

At the least, Iran is or will soon snowball in the space sector!

If Iran can put a one man capsule in LEO on the Sarir, that is a huge legitimising act. If Iran could get ahead of India that's even better. It's time to go full out in testing this beast and ignore what reformist retards like Zarif and Rouhani say.

Dude it's about developing capabilities that add value to science, technology and economy. Putting human into space should have business, science or economic value. Unless Iran demonstrate state of art safety and competencies in proper protocols, Iran should solely focus on getting there via non human projects that not only deliver scientific and technological returns but also help with refining, debugging and understanding of reliability and safety protocols. In other words, Iran needs to become mature in space first.

I encourage everyone here to look this up and read it to understand what I mean by maturity:

Yes, I mean Iran already holds the record for shooting down a passenger plane RIGHT after it took off.

Lets add killing the 1st Iranian Astronaut with a crappy SLV to the list while we are at it.

Until Iran can demonstrate a high success rate with its SLVs putting a human on top of one of them is a death sentence. There is a reason why it takes so long to do a manned space launch.

That's why I suggested an extensive testing phase before performing a manned launch.
