Even if it's not completely free, it's heavily subsidized. All the government asks for you in return is to work for it's organizations for a period (a job which you're PAID for) to cover it.

Nothing in this world is completely free. You think Scandinavian socialism which provides all those benefits has no charge? They seech your paycheques of taxes to afford all that.
