Yes but same Mullah didn't retaliate in the same manner when they were attacked by CW used by Saddam resulted in death and injured of 100k Iranian people under the US intelligence & political support in 80s.

Since Khomeini weaseled into power forty years ago, the Iranian Mullahs and Shiite zealots have declared themselves, in every way possible, to be an enemy of the USA. If we weren't so Christian we would have destroyed you decades ago. The Iranian theocracy is the only government in the world that is beyond human reasoning. Yes, of course the CIA's role in the 28 Mordad coup d'état is a source of Iranian enmity towards the USA. However, this event is not the reason for the hatred of the USA that is now fostered by the Mullahs. The Mullahs of 1953 did not support the Mosaddegh government any more than did the British or the Americans. In fact the Mullahs were OK with the Shah until he started messing with their funding mechanisms and opening the Iranian culture to non-Islamic ideas. The Mullahs implacable hatred is prompted by religious supremacy, i.e. belief in the the decadence of the "West" under the leadership of the "Great Satan", and in the absolute correctness of the Shiite faith. It is no accident that Iranian "enmity" towards the USA is expressed in religious terminology (Satan).
