Again, the Persian Gulf and the straights are international waters, and freely navigable by treaty. Iran doesn't "own" either of them. Those waters are important for trade that doesn't even involve Iran.

It would be as if the USA declared the straights of Florida closed, which would limit an important waterway for trade with Mexico and Central America.

Iran is welcome to send ships to the Florida Straights and the Gulf of Mexico - just stay in international waters. The Soviets used to do it all the time. Nothing happened.

we always think from Military power perspective... like ABCD we have this and we have that... we have multirole 4gen fighters.. we have ABCD frigates.... we have nuke subs .. we have bla bla bla .... and mostly lost the war like USA (first Vietnam, Iraq and now Afghanistan). It is NOT possible and also silly that SB imposes sanctions and double standards toward a nation and meanwhile expects it to behave in way that they want . If there will be some hardships or any kind of problem for Iran base on those sanctions be sure Iran will share them by those countries that have already tried to put a lot of pressure on it .Shutting down strait of Hormuz is NOT our aim but it could be use to scare blind drunk super power to know Iran will never bow .

Iranian patrol boats and planes have trailed the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.

Iran's navy never approached the battle group closer than half a mile, making a point to stay in the Iranian waters. Radar operators also revealed an Iranian drone and surveillance helicopter zooming in the Persian country's airspace near the strategic strait. A patrol plane buzzed over the Lincoln, said Rear Adm. Troy Shoemaker, commander of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Force.

Iran should be careful, they are trying to show Iran as the "aggressor" and a false flag operation might be underway.
