It is a spy/suppurt ship that will be based in the Indian Ocean. My question is who buit it....

Excellent idea....this is called "thinking outside the box"......AND IT LOOKS GOOD.
Hope to see few of these in the shores of the UAE unloading troops and armour..lol

I think you have seen the container launched missiles from russia and israel. now imagine similar thing, but here with more that 3 3rd of khordad missiles or a bunch of fatehs... that would be dangerous from a veery long range. though if i was the one who had to choose, i would pack this thing with fatehs and the longest range drones i could find...

It's a great start and I love the concept but I hate the fact that they put speed boats on the deck!

I think it would have been better if they had hidden modified missile boats and speed boats inside for quick deployment from the aft loading bay (without making that information public)

But overall it seem like the start of something great for the IRGC Navy. A multi purpose craft that can be configured to carry out a wide range of missions is just what they need!

Hopefully they'll develop more capable ship deployed UCAV's to go with them in the near future!

As I thought, a derived unit of a commercial ship (question which ship was it, is it new made in Iran, a ship that was already sailing under the commercial flag of Iran or bought in the second-hand market?)
The presence of anti-ship missiles, drones and even more interesting that they would use the Khordad self-propelled anti-aircraft.
However I think they have not yet completed the transformation work.
Certainly in the future at least the CIWS 30mm will be installed.
I don't see any fixed crane on the deck to be used for handling loads, or for putting boats in the sea, ok probably as written by others they can be put into the sea from the stern, but the cranes can still be useful; sure they could use cranes installed on trucks, but it would be just a fallback.
I am surprised that there is no hangar above the deck to support the or the helicopter;
Maybe they park them on the lower deck?
but I don't see elevators, maybe they can get the AB-212 off the slide, but that's probably not possible with a Sikorsky SH-3D.
However interesting ship.

IRGC has literally zero experience when it comes to larger vessels. My 2 cent is that they will use this ship primary as a training ship, but also like data and requirement collection for future heavy tonnage IRGC vessels.

what we need to remember when it comes to irgc is that their design philosophy is need oriented, in contrast to army’s copy western design philosophy. When they have defines the need and functions required then they will build a cost effective vessel that satisfies their needs.

This is one part of the IRGC's projects that will deliver their promise of having permanent presence in the Indian ocean. These vessels are essentially small sea bases and are already being sent to the Indian Ocean:

IRGC to Deploy Naval Flotilla to Indian Ocean

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy will dispatch a flotilla of military vessels, including its new oceangoing warship, to the northern parts of the Indian Ocean, its commander said.

This is a relatively "out of box" thinking by the IRGC and quite a cost effective one at that. Questions that remain to be answered are how many more of these ships they will produce and what other hardware they will add. Going forward, addition of ballistic missiles is a must. In the short term, we need to add CIWS to these ships too. Do keep in mind these sea bases will be not alone.

Is this the helicopter/UAV carrier IRGC said it will join its navy by the end of this year?

At some point, they will have to lay the keel for something more sturdy if they want to launch ballistics, even shorter range ones, though they could probably launch soumars and other cruise missiles now if they wanted. I'm not sure what kind of downward pressures a hot launch of a ballistic would do to the frame, unless they go cold launch, or the vessels frame is strengthened further.
Air defenses should be navalized by putting sayyads in canisters like 15th Khordad and distribute on deck like the Noor/Ghader launch boxes then place radar atop the tower with fire control computer in the bridge; all of this is a simple matter of running extra wires and decentralizing the platform. Adding kamands or mesbah should be a simple matter and some ASW is critical or have the ability to serve as a mothership to some ghadirs and drone subs or both. All in all, it is a good forward base/slash mothership especially in the beginning.

But considering that it has a ramp at the stern and that the ship should have large cargo capacity, it could also be used to deliver weapon systems purchased from friendly countries and being a military ship it is not subject to "Police" controls by states not too friendly with Iran or the country to which the supply should go.

If this is the 231-meter helicopter and drone unit under construction of cuinsinparlava, the one presented today, the L-110-1 Sahid Roudaki is a surprise, that is, something more, which had not been known about.

اینا دیگه شورش را در آوردند . نمیتونن یک رو نمایی مثل آدم بکنند . امیدوارم لااقل ارتش ناوش را به یک صورتی رونمایی بکنه که مایه آبروریزی نباشه
