. . . .
Given Iran has already developed water jet propulsion, could we expect next gen Iranian submarines to use pump-jet propulsion systems? From what I can see, pump jet is a more advanced and quieter system.

New assault launchers to be brought into service soon

The head of the Maritime Industries Department of the Ministry of Defense, Admiral Amir Rastegari, announced the design and manufacture of a fast assault speedboat capable of reaching 90 knots.

"According to the operational needs of the armed forces, a speedboat capable of reaching a speed of 90 knots has been designed and manufactured," said Admiral Amir Rastegari, chief of the maritime industries department of the Ministry of Defense.

"This ship is currently undergoing maritime tests and has managed to reach a speed of 80 knots," added Admiral Rastegari.

"Given the design of the ship's body, we hope to be able to reach a speed of 90 knots, or around 160 or 165 km / h, which will be considered a new advance in the field of assault launchers," he clarified.

"Boats competing in international competitions generally reach a speed of around 110 knots, but this speedboat is military and capable of traveling at high speed for hours. It is also capable of carrying military weapons. These are new features of assault speedboats. Competition boats can only carry two passengers and they must travel 1 to 2 km to reach the desired speed ”; "This ship is currently undergoing final testing and has been fitted with artillery weapons. We also plan to equip it with missiles to strengthen its defense capability, "he said.
