QUETTA: Iranian forces fired mortar shells into Taslap, a border town in Chagai district, and nearby areas on Friday, killing an unspecified number of cows and camels.

“They fired over two dozen mortar shells, causing panic in the villages,” a security official told Dawn.

“Camels and cattle grazing in the fields were killed as mortar shells hit them,” the official said.

Before the shelling, the Iranians warned people working in the fields on the Pakistan side to leave the area.

I guess as usual Pakistani forces had their hands tied by the black mail of genocide mafia.

This should be viewed in light of the recent news about Saudi financial help. It is eye opening that kidnapping of Iranian guards didnt result in immediate shelling. But as soon as news of Saudi support comes through, they start shelling.

This leads to an unfortunate reality: we will need to protect Saudi investors not just from Afghanistan, but also from Iran. We need to have an open and honest discussion about this.

You are missing the point here... Iran is strategic ally of India and this we should be able to see without any doubts.

Don't you see, Iran and Afghanistan play this game to support Indian narrative on Pakistan.

You wont talk honest at the table until your dependence on GCC cash and resources reduces(at least). ISI and Pakistani military can crush Jaish Ul-Adl but they have chosen not to.Dont play ignorance or incompetence when your govt made a conscious decision to look the other way.
