Doesn’t seem like Houthi’s long range BM missiles are advanced enough by themselves to penetrate arrow shield. Maybe they need to fire at least a few at a time.

Lots of assets US & Israel have deployed to detect and monitor any BM launches from Yemen which helps improve interception rate.

At the very least IRGC will have a lot of valuable data and war like scenario analysis to test these older BM tech (Ghadr and Qiam) and understand how capable western systems (patriot, arrow, THAAD) are real time to detect and intercept.

Even if they don´t reach their objective in Israel, US will pay happily a bunch of dollars for each Arrow. Israel has only 6 millions of population. So their military budget was spend weeks ago.

No money for war.

Xi should take Taiwan at minimum intervention of US.

Germany has doubled military help to Ukraine because of US turnout on Ukraine.

They are probably intercepting these Rezvan-type missile in exo-atmosphere. Arrow-3 has significant advantage over it at that altitude and this type of missile, and most of Iran's vertical launched BMs are not great at countering Arrow-3, however they have very few interceptors in stock, and very few batteries in general. If it were only Patriot/Arrow-2 batteries, it could be a different story.

In the next 2 months if Houthi's can launch a mere 50-100 BMs, it would be very good. Use the cheap stuff.

US renews waiver letting Iraq pay Iran for electricity

WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - The United States has issued a new 120-day waiver allowing Iraq to pay Iran for electricity, U.S. officials said on Tuesday, stressing Tehran could only use the funds for humanitarian trade and seeking to blunt criticism of giving Iran the money.

U.S. officials said the waiver was identical to one in July that for the first time allowed Iraq not only to make payments into restricted accounts in Iraq but also for the funds to be transferred to similarly restricted accounts in third countries.

Speaking to reporters on condition of anonymity, officials stressed the moneys could only be used for "non-sanctionable transactions" such as buying humanitarian goods like food and agricultural products.

U.S. officials said their main aim was to decrease Iran's leverage over Iraq. Tehran has in the past pushed Baghdad to secure U.S. permission to release such funds by cutting Iranian natural gas exports to Iraq, limiting Iraq's ability to generate power and forcing deeply unpopular electricity cuts in Iraq.

So the US gave Iraq permission to pay its debts to Iran by transferring the money to restricted bank accounts which only allow the funds to be used for "non-sanctionable transactions"
