Iranian Azeris Set up National Council in Turkey, Aspire for Independence

Well... if situation of Turks were so bad in Iran, we would have at least some reports by independent media. Azeri national council, in this case, may have vested interests in this case.

I did had a debate on this issue on this very forum, but pro Iranian brigade rejected my claim.

I was simply mentioning my accounts of personal discussion with Azeris living in areas under control of Iran.

.
No, the thing is this is going on since foundation of Iran.

It is just ignored by international media because they are Turks. That's it.

I thought the media was biased against Iran? The slightest human right violation in Iran is portrayed as a catastrophe in the media...

.
No it is not just ''cards or politics'' maybe those people do have legitimate reasons to follow this path, it is clear that nobody would like to risk their own lives for something which you call just as a ''card'', if you know what i mean?

You made quit an enterance. First of all welcome to the Forum Mr.Axa, Second of all Iran used PKK against Turkey for years, Its not a surprize that Turkey is trying to create a card if such thing ever happens again. Lets not forget the relations with Iran are getting worse duo the Syrian issue.

Thank you. Could you please refer me to the link of the debate?

Are they going in jail for preserving their own culture now? Please quote news reports/analysis to support your view. So far I've not come across any news which implies Iran discriminates against its Turkish citizen.

Yes little research would be helpful.

Until it concern the Turks. Yes.

You can try it ofcourse but it would not be a wise move.

1. Turkey has enough experience to deal with such guerilla/partisan threat while that same thing Iran lacks. we have good intel agencies backed by spies/special ops/counter guerilla units who are always doing the job pretty well. So the damage would stay limited.

2. If such thing happend Turkey could easily return the favor by arming and organize those groups to a similar state as the PKK movement and start armed resistance but we never suggested such things. You did.

Why dont you just give those people what their asking for? It is compeletely legitimate request of them, learn/talk/own language. Live own Turkic culture freely. Integrate but not assimilate.. I dont see how you can take away these universal rights of humanity from them by refusing to them while allowing to Armenians the exact same thing? Why the double standarts when it comes to Turks.

I think you shouldn't be worry about unwise move ... right !?

Why would i be worried, i was just wondering how would it be in Irans interest to start an armed conflict with Turkey? They are neighboring countries i dont get it? But ofcourse i wont stop anybody from commiting suicide i dont care.

Thank you. I hope you can get it. From now on, you may see me with a much more balanced view when it comes to the middle east matters. I'm finally seeing through the propaganda after analysing all viewpoints...

There is nothing weird with the fact that Reza Shah Pahlavi could speak Azeri Turkish. His mother was ethnic Azeri Turk, Nushaferin Ayrimli from Ayrim tribe.

Ayrums - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So is Khamenei (there is a video of him talking Azari on youtube) and so are millions of other Iranians including my grandffather who speaks better Azari than Persian.

Anyway, our track record when it comes to creating proxies is well documented. We have the world's strongest guerilla/asymmetric fighting unit (Hezbollah) and we created them, armed them, trained them, got them into the Lebanese parliament and other political institutions etc.... in a matter of a couple of decades. We don't share a border with them and we're two different nationalities (arabs vs Iranians).

So as I said, our track record is well proven. Turkey doesn't want to do this. Iran has no interest in causing a conflict with Turkey but if push comes to shove, we know this game better than anyone on this planet. I'm sure many people in the Turkish government hate such moves but with Turkey you never know who's behind what. There is always internal conflict between the different parties that are pulling the strings.

One last thing: when wahabi arabs are proud of you, you know you're doing something VERY wrong. If you're making bin ladens and al quidas happy, than you're on the wrong path.
food for thought

You can host all the Soviet Azaris you want, none of which are even Iranian and are brothers and sisters of our fellow delusional Soviet Azari forumer ASQ, but if you think Iran helped the PKK you're wrong. Helping means doing what we're doing with Hezbollah: sending billions of dollars, anti-air missiles, anti-ship missiles, heavy arms, unlimited amunition, surface to surface missiles, anti-tank missiles, drones etc...

If you want to dance, the Iranian regime is more than happy to bring the boombox.

Axa-, why would Azeri Turks be "traitors"?

They have done enough service for that mollah nation, they were always at the frontline in wars (most of martyrs was from Ardebil province during Iran-Iraq war), Azeri Turks made up majority of armies in Iran for centuries, and for what? Even the Islamic revolution began from Tabriz, Azeri Turks were promised autonomy by mollahs, but nothing happend. Do not even confuse the situation with Kurds, you need look at the history.

The only way out indeed is independence.
look at this genius! As you said, the biggest support for the regime comes from Azaris. They're the Islamic Republic!!

Parsis down south are much more liberal than Azaris in Northern Iran.

- Azari Iranians were at the front lines of the Iran-Ottoman wars and Iran lost way more Azaris than -Parsis
- As you said, they were the people of the sword in every dynasty and were always at the forefront
- They are the biggest supporters of the Iranian regime

etc...

When it comes to religious fervour, Azaris are always ranked first in Iran. Azaris view shiaism as part of their identity while Parsis and Kurds share their identity between Shia Islam and the nation's pre-Islamic religions and cultures.

The irony about all this is that you would get more support from Iran's non-Turkish population as they're more liberal than the conservative Azaris. lol

not all arabs are Wahabis...

as for bin laden and al qaida, they'll be happy as long as Shia's or Iran suffer since Iran as a islamic country don't support Al qaida.

they'll be happy as long as they see a oportunity to win place among the people (they are pretty desperate). the same can be said about hezbollah to, remember... they to are a terrorist organization who has done numerous terror acts and attacks. if you want to take on terrorists, take all of them, not those who don't fit your agenda.
