Iranian "Absar" SAR Radar Seen At Kish Air Show

looks very crude :undecided: best analog would be Lynx II
Theres nothing crude about the Lynx.It appears to be a more compact system that the Lynx, the iranian one looks like it was designed as a straight swap over replacement for the existing flir ball on large drones like the Shahed or Fotros, tho I imagine there would be additional modules that would need to be replaced as well.
Without knowing the actual performance specs of the radar its really impossible to make any kind of valid comparisons especially based on a couple of low res pics taken from a monitor.

I'm sure it won't get in produce line .... another "just to unveil device" in Iran ....

In the end of day , still our F4 and F14 and Mig 29 will still use their useless original radars .... if they were this good , they simply could a PESA or AESA or even more simple but modern
Pulse-Doppler radar for our Mig 29 and F4s instead of operating their 40 years old radar ....

We are gaining experience nagger !

Go & read about air based radars & how complex they are then start talking...

that doesn't change the fact we are operating 40 years old An120 radar ......
the result is important ...

It seem your way of thinking is not quite suitable in this occasion

USA tested first SAR radars in late 50 s, even WW2 british bomber H2S radar had ground mapping capabilities. AESA radar technologies, are very exclusive, confidiental, expensive to obtain, but SAR radar is not in the same leaugue with them
