Sectarianism should be avoided at best in this thread. One can cite prexisting animosities between Persians and Arabs through the adoption& adaptation by the Safvids of political Shia ideals and current day Persians by default- and the more inter tribal issues of Arab Sunni-Shia split.

Either way, this has little to do with border clashes and is greater diplomatic language over Pakistani participation in the GCC alliance.

I am not a proponent of nuclear weapons, but IF Iran tries to engage us on the West to give India an advantage on the East, then the best option is to crush them immediately instead of dividing our forces to the East and the West. While invasion is out of the question, influencing loyalties is not. Iran actively plays both socio-religious and political games within Pakistan to sabotage what it believes are Arab interests or just sabotage advantages to Pakistan.

But it is also competiting with Pakistan for resources, geography and political influence within the reigion for its own current and future needs.

It should, if it is a smart nation. But more often than not Pakistan has demonstrated that it will sacrifice its own gains for generally up in the air or perceived religious-socio needs(former taking precedence) for not much in return.

The more reason the militery should make national service mandatory. Pakistani citizens need to be prepared for the worse. For decades it's been India, yesterday it was Afghanistan and today it's Iran. These bafoon states want Pakistan to be the next Iraq and Syria.

The real culprit is India that is using both Afghanistan and Iran to weaken Pakistan and divert our attention from Kashmir. Afghans and Iranians are snakes to play in the hands of the Kuffar against Muslims. This is the time that Pakistan should show it's firm hand, and the way Israel bombed Iraqi nuclear plant, PAF should plan a sortie and destroy Iran's nuclear program. It's about time Pakistan begins to show the world it is to be respected. If Iran begins to respect Pakistan as brotherly state, then we have never had aggressive design against Iran and Afghanistan.

Sure, saudi prince did mention such provoking step in his recent statement. Pakistan can ill afford such provocation. Instead of taking provoking tone, shouldn't Pakistan take steps that creates friend than an enemy?

If we go on threats, Iran has wiped Israel many atimes.

However a professional military commander should never make such statements which can jeopardize the mutual relations between 2 countries.

It's understandable to talk like this bw Pakistan & India, keeping in view our history.

These recent threats and skirmishes from Iran & Afghanistan are not without a reason. The play is something else, which wants our military to guard three fronts now, which had never been the case before.
