Why not...Iran is world's no3 Drone power after US and China...Russia came to Drone game a bit late and not in full gear..Iran in other hand started her Drone program in 1980s..capture of American RQ and wreckage of Global hawk brought down by Iran has accelerated Iran's development by decades..

Honestly, the dumbest thing that Iran could do right now.

You'll getting what in return? A few millions? The minute an Iranian drone has been shot down by Ukrainian forces or the minute it has been seen operational in the Ukrainian skies the entire Western world plus many other allied nations will cry for new sanctions on Tehran.

Risking long lasting damages for Moscow isn't worth it. Russia threw Iran many, many times under the bus. I don't see any benefits to Iran from this deal.

Russia isn’t a good source for micro processors, China is.

And Iran is after certain jet engine tech, missile tech, cruise missile tech. A modern missile engine or jet engine tech transfer is worth doing this deal 110 times out of 100.

Russia cannot even keep Ukraine in check, how the hell is it going to help Iran against Israel-US-Gulf Arab alliance??? Russian equipment especially tanks and S300/S400 systems have shown to be complete junk.

Not saying Iran is not capable of supplying drones. It obviously is. But is it smart in the current environment? Especially in past when Russia proved to be an unreliable ally.

Your logic makes no sense… the west only benefits if Iran increases oil production…

The moment iran increases oil production israel/gulf arab states will cry and cut their oil production. Eventually either balancing any gains out thus keeping oil prices same or even cutting to the point that oil prices go up to punish the west. At the end of the day gulf arab oil production is x5-8 irans and can never be replaced.

I am sure whatever Iran is getting in return is worth this move considering how pragmatic and careful it is when making such decisions.

That also assumes there is any truth to this and not western propaganda. Earlier in the war they said we donated a Bavar-373 system when Russia has S-500 and S-400 deployed. Hilarious propaganda
