First off, you need to understand the difference between striking back and defending your territory. Retaliation is always offensive and not necessarily defensive. So when Iran says that they will hit back, the purpose is to make it clear that they have the capabilities to retaliate unlike Iraq and Libya which have been more on the defensive side rather than offensive.

I understand quite a bit. Unlike Iraq, there won`t be any invasion and another 10 years of occupation by foreign forces so Iran will be able to launch some amount offensive against those that attack her(What little offensive will be left to her aside from their proxies in Lebanon, Hamas and other insurgencies.
There will be however a very precise attack against multiple targets disabling Iran`s defensive and offensive capabilities by targeting military bases, Nuclear reactors and Revolutionary compounds.

Never said anything about goodness of Israeli people. But if this forum is any proof, Muslims feel exactly the same about Jews. Hate breeds hate. Why do you think Israel should act nice when since it's inception, it has been at the receiving end of Muslim hate? You cannot clap with one hand. You cannot instigate violence against them and not expect such reaction. When was last time Muslim countries reached out to Israel to solve the crisis?

Many Arab leaders "wanted" to repeat the Nazi experiment in ME. unfortunately, there weren't many Jews to do so and they were under occupation of UK. That said, do you know how exactly Israel came to be, the whole story? The actual one, not the one about stealing lands and killing Palestinians?

Iraq did not need to attack US coz US was fighting Iraq inside Iraq onmore occasions than one.

Libya could not retailate against NATO coz its own ppl were / are fighting Gadaffi , whom would he defend himself from first ? If you are referring to the earlier NATO strikes on Libya , well Gadaffi knew he wouldnt last a day.
