Iran to Rank 1st in Science, Technology by 2025

Being isolated from the majority of the scientific world has in fact helped Iran but Iran also has scientific collaboration with many countries.
Thanks but our Iranian youths' mind is less distorted than your mind.
And don't worry, no one dares to come close to us since 32 years ago.
Not open war, no. But, keep pushing it.

Iran is truly a most powerful Muslim world. I don't consider America's servants (Saudi and Turkey) to be Muslim world's leaders!

\0/ (lol)

Turkey the dog of USA?!!? :hitwall: :hitwall:

a stupid Indian guy that doesn't know what he talks about yet again... what a surprise!

Being isolated from the majority of the scientific world, fanatical ideologies that distort young minds, eventual war and destruction that will be brought down on Iran and the region by your government.

Actually sanctions and the Saddam attack on Iran are the reason for Iran's scientific progress. This fact has been researched out scientifically by those who were interested to know why Iran has such a fast rate of progress. When Iran was not isolated during the Shah's time, its total science production was just under 0.0003% of the world's science production. By 2010, Iran was producing 1.2% of world's science. That is a growth of 400000% compared to the rest of the world since Iran's revolution. http://www.science-metrix.com/30years-Paper.pdf

I never called Turkey a dog of US???!! :S But heyyyy whatever you wanna call yourself. :)

Then why do you think is?

Biden urges Turkey to impose new sanctions on Iran | World news | The Guardian

It's obviously out of pressure!

And mate, you might wanna stay in for a few days. Thanksgiving is getting closer and closer. :)

so because Biden urges us to impose sanctions on Iran we are their servants? boy you need to learn some politics and history!

and mate, you might want to know what your royal queens name means in Turkish...

Iran reminds me a lot of Egypt in the 50's and 60's, hope it worksout for them better. My advice for my Iranians brothers and regime is promote human rights, democracy, and freedom. I don't see my Iran can not be a model for the Middle East in Democracy, they have all the tools to be one.

A lot of people see your progression as a country, and it promotes hate and jealousy, you guys know how proud we are of you, and only wish you more progress. People who care for you are actually proud of you, i don't think you should worry about someone who don't wish you any progress or good.

That is right. But Iran is not a dictatorship either nor a military regime. The thing is any country without a strong economy and supremacy in science then absolute democracy and freedom, the kind you are talking about is dangerous. Our third world people can not handle themselves when given these powerful tools, not only that but even in developed nations they have limits on freedom. In Germany you can not be a socialist-nationalist. In US you can not run for presidency of US if you are a Muslim. And in UK it is illegal to try to remove the queen from power and trying to do so means treason. Iran is no different. They have red lines but since they are under attack by west their red lines are more sensitive.

As for Egypt, some mistakes caused it to fall behind. One was absolutism of the military, which controlled everything. The other was, the wrong economic policies, with government still owning apartments and renting them out on subsidized rates which was ridiculous. Renting a 1000 dollars per month house for just 1 dollar per month is not a good economic policy. Then Egypt had just Mubarak and everything revolved around him, there was no multiple centers of power to compete with each other and keep each other in check as happens in a relatively democratic country. Also Egyptian regime had disregarded the Islamic identity and had chosen to become a client state for America which meant US interests came first and Egyptian interests were only second.

Democracy in ME..those who wants it and those who denies it are both accused by eachother of being Western stooges.

Iran will stand first in the region in terms of science and technology by 2025.

"Given the efforts made by the Islamic Iran's youths, we will rank first in the region in science and technology before 2025," Sadatinejad said on Sunday.

In the region is the key word here. Turkey is the only country in the region ahead of Iran right now and only by a small margin. Iran will probably overtake Turkey in the next couple of years in terms of research publication.

Irans research output increased more than 4 times in ten years(2000-2010) from 7000 papers to 28000.

I hope i can see more co-operation in all fields between Iran, Turkey, Pakistan and Egypt in the future. We can all learn from eachother.
All of these countries have a lot of geo-political importance and if they do well in science and tech, they can become cornerstones of importance. Egypt can lead all of Africa, Turkey can lead scandinavian countries and western Europe, Iran can lead the khaleeji arabs, Pakistan can have influence on Afghanistan and central asian countries..

Iran for sure deserves this, they have sacrificed a lot the past 30 years with young blood and i have no doubt in my mind that Iran is going to make the Khaleeji Arabs look backwards in a decade or so if things remain stable.

What distinguishes Iran's scientific base is that they are on an ideological platform, and for any country to excel it needs an ideological framework and a vibrant democratic culture that promotes these things.

They just need to tone down hostility towards their neighbours and the West. Israel is their enemy which is understandable, but no need to target America as a whole.

You can run for presidency of the US if you are Muslim, it doesn't mean you will win thu, but you have the freedom to run.... From my understanding, Iran is an oil country, with no illiterates. I have no doubt in my mind that they can be as democratic as any Western nation in the world. Your democracy develops by time, it doesn't start perfect. It fixes itself...... As for Egypt, i agree with everything you just said. Hopefully we can go in a better direction now. I just see no future for us, if we don't look East for co-operation rather than West. We have to work together.

Rome was not built in one day. It takes time to learn democracy and develop it.
