TEHRAN, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- A senior Iranian lawmaker warned on Saturday that Iran will expel the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors if the U.S. anti-Iran sanctions are not lifted by Feb. 21, semi-official Mehr news agency reported.

"If the sanctions against Iran, particularly in the fields of finance, banking and oil, are not lifted by Feb. 21, we will definitely expel the IAEA inspectors from the country," Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani, a member of the presidium of Iran's parliament, was quoted as saying.

Iran will also stop voluntary implementation of the IAEA's Additional Protocol, he added.

"This is the law of the Iranian parliament and the government is obliged to implement it," Amirabadi Farahani noted.

The main goal of the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal was the removal of sanctions against Iran, he said. "If the sanctions are not removed, we will see no reason to fulfill our obligations."

Iran launched 20-percent uranium enrichment process on Monday as part of its Strategic Action Plan to Counter Sanctions which was approved by the parliament in December 2020.

In response to the U.S. withdrawal from the nuclear deal in 2018 and re-imposition of sanctions against Iran, the Islamic republic stopped implementing parts of its obligations under the deal. Enditem

Hey Iran, world is bullying you to prevent you from making atomic bomb.
Here is the deal: if you have complete atomic technology, then just test your device, and a missile too. And let the world know, what you have and what you are capable of.
If you don't have that technology, then I think there is no need to pull this drama any longer.
I mean it's like eating or not eating. You can't eat and not eat at a time.

I think Iran can go easily and fast nuclear..but they don't do it...why? This way they keep a strong leverage: remove sanctions and after removing the sanctions, never use them again againt Iran. Meanwhile Iran will decrease the break out time in the coming 9 years, I believe in the future this break out time will be no longer than few weeks.
North Korea already has nukes, but the sanctions are not removed. So it's the policy of Iran not to produce nukes (yet), not lack of technology or fear of enemy.

Era of long lasting wars have passed ... now it's era of closing files like Afghanistan and Taliban even though they are in control of half of the country and you started a war to remove them ... and the world has got changed dramatically the ramifications of war against Iran ain't something that any sane person would accept.
Since 2015 Iran has finished Syrian war to some extent, isis is removed , Iraq is more stable , Yemen now is capable of defending itself , has tested ICBM, has tested more new modern centrifuges and has demonstrated no matter how much you mount the pressure on it Iran wouldn't submit .. so either go for war or accepting Iran as power ... war as an option is not on the table the only thing is the later.
