Turkey are bound by treaty to defend Greece in case of an attack by Iran.
Incirlik will become quite busy.
Why should we open our airbase to America? They can ask pyd in syria...
Byzantine vs Sassanid... The Remastered version?
@Dante80
Aside from it... What are Greek "Points/Assets" that Iran would be interested in for a potential "Action"?

It is impossible for Iran to hit Crete by crossing over NATO radar bases and the Mediterranean naval forces from its homeland. Iraq was a "grey area" which is mostly proxies clashing. But direct attacking the territory of a NATO member country on the European continent is a completely different thing. If Iran takes this risk, it pays a heavy price. If this will happen , this situation will force Turkey(which sharing 560km borders with Iran) to make a choice.I think the Greeks will take this threat seriously after what they saw happened to US bases in Iraq.
I think Iranian IRBMs just have enough range to hit Greece.
Byzantines are not Greeks they are Romans.
Constantine was not a Greek but an Illyrian emperor.
Nope Turkey will not help greece even if its bounded by treaty
This is BIG, if true.https://www.jpost.com/Middle-East/I...st-Greece-for-US-use-of-military-bases-614185
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis supported the killing of Qasem Soleimani
Iran launched a new round of saber-rattling last week by declaring it will retaliate against Greece if Athens allows the US to use military bases against Tehran.
The Greek daily Kathimerini reported on Monday that the Islamic Republic said the use of US military bases in Greece would be considered a “hostile act” and the clerical regime would respond “in a clear and decisive manner.”
now that you had your chest thumping, Iran can target Sweden as well so behave.Turkey are bound by treaty to defend Greece in case of an attack by Iran.

if Crete island has an independent air defense system yes that would be hard but if they do not judging by it's position in the middle of Mediterranean sea it would be hard to defend it.It is impossible for Iran to hit Crete by crossing over NATO radar bases and the Mediterranean naval forces from its homeland. The risk can be about sabotage and asymmetric threats. Proxy organizations affiliated to IRGC have a very in-depth experience in these matters. A new structure can be established in which Iran will deny its connection for many years.
whenever US agrees to give up it's AF we will negotiate on our missiles to. the chance to get a nude image of rouhani is more than that deal my dear.Hmm...isn't this Iranian missile scenario something the US has been talking about for the last 10 or so years...to deaf ears.
We have enough refugees inside our country. No need more so watch your words guys !
Turkey is already attacked by american favorite “shitjava humanists” assad has killed 13 soldiers plus 1 at morek post that makes it 14 soldiers if this is the cover NATO provides then no one should be surprised if Turkey shuts down temporary kurecik radar which detects ballistic missiles during theoretical iranian attack on greeceWhich of course would create a precedent for other NATO members NOT to help Turkey in case of an attack by another country.
Not sure if NATO membership provides any benefit to Turkey after such a move.
