Iran state media under fire over distortion of Mursi’s speech

1. Thank you for admitting that the article in Fars News is bogus, sir.
2. If the title of an article is false, does not it mean that the whole article is nothing more than a joke?
Can I write that "Bangladesh is the second greatest exporting country in the world after China" because Bangladesh is the second greatest garment/clothing exporting country in the world after China? It is true that Bangladesh is the second largest garment/clothing exporting country in the world, after China, but it is not true that Bangladesh is the second greatest exporting country in the world, after China.

3. Even in Nanotechnology, Iran does not produce 50% of scientific output of the Muslim world according to Iranian sources.

Iran - 3011

Turkey - 905
Malaysia - 777
Saudi Arabia - 610
Egypt - 479
Tunisia - 159
Algeria - 114

Above 6 - 3044

Nano Statistics - Home

4. As you have correctly said, it is because Iranian govt has wisely invested in nanotechnology that Iranian nanotechnology development is ahead of other Muslim majority countries, but that does not mean one can make up stories, or that one should use this achievement to belittle other countries. With correct govt decisions and strategy, things can change for the better.

5. Good luck to Iran, because it looks like Iran might publish more than countries like Italy, Spain, Taiwan and others in the near future.
brother, maybe his source is updated.as far as your source about the number of nano related articles are updated since 2011.maybe its about first three month of 2012.

Bahrain demands apology from Iran

Charges Iranian media tampered with translation of Mursi speech to include its name

Bahrain on Saturday demanded an apology from Iran after it charged that the Iranian media tampered with the translation of the speech delivered by the Egyptian president in Tehran to include its name.

“Hamad Al Amer, the foreign affairs undersecretary for regional and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) affairs, has summoned the Iranian charge d’affaires and handed him a formal protest note following the tampering by the Iranian media and replacing Syria with Bahrain in the speech delivered by president Mohammad Mursi at the opening of the Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran,” the foreign ministry said in a statement. “Such an abuse and distortion of the facts is rejected and is regarded as interference in Bahrain’s domestic affairs and a violation of the norms.”

The foreign ministry demanded an apology from the Iranian government and the taking of the necessary measures to ensure that such negative attitudes harmed relations fraternal relations between Bahrain and Tehran, the foreign ministry said.

The interpreter replaced Syria with Bahrain when President Mursi talked about the so-called Arab Spring and enumerated the countries where people launched revolutions to change their regimes.

Mursi mentioned Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Syria, but the Iranian interpreter dropped Syria and replaced it with Bahrain.

The Egyptian foreign ministry issued a statement insisting that Mursi never mentioned Bahrain in his address as he handed over the presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement.

“Iran has to apologise to Bahrain if what happened was a mistake. However, if it is not, then its credibility is still as we know it,” Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa, the foreign minister, wrote on his Twitter account.

Bahrain last month reinstated its ambassador in Tehran after an 18-month absence after it pulled him out in March 2011 to protest against “Iran’s interference in Bahrain’s domestic affairs.”

Tehran withdrew its ambassador the following day, but has not told him to resume his work in Manama yet. Both embassies have remained open despite the recall of the ambassadors.

What do pro iranian regime members here think of this distortion of morsi's speech? it's interesting that none of them here have actually commented on the subject. They avoid the subject by attacking Turkey and Saudi .. etc or they try miserably to be sarcastic and smart *** like the guy above me.

Are they so brainwashed by the mullas' "media" that they blindly and easily accept and defend lying and misinformation on their national TV like that? I pity them.

I think you should pity yourself by letting a corrupt family ruling you while all of the members of 'royal' family stealing the oil money and buying the properties abroad. While those princes take their share of national treasures of Arabia everyday. While your News channels like Al-Arabiya lie and spread propaganda every day toward Iran and Syria.Yes,Iran is not perfect and has lots of problems, but its far better than Saudi Arabia that is still arguing on whether women should drive or not.and the first one you should pity for is yourself and your counterparts. And when you call us brainwashed,I can't stop laughing...

.
This is a national embarassment to Iran in the in international level !!! Either you omit his speech completely or edit to skip

BY deciding to distort the speech Of LEADER of a NATION , IRAN has lost all its credibility in its truth ..What ever Iran hoped to achieve by NAM has been dirtied by this .....

.
I want to tell some facts about the translation and the mistakes in it:

2 channels were broadcasting the speech live at the same time. One channel 1 and other channel 6.I was watching channel 6 and they completely and without any change translated the Morsi's speech, including all of his remarks about Syria.
Later,I saw on the net that channel one has edited the Morsi's speech.I saw it online and it was true.I was really surprised, because if they really wanted to completely edit Morsi's speech, then why would they translate it perfectly in channel 6?The head of Iran's national tv and radio has said Channel 1 was not using the translator that they were supposed to use,so another translator (which seems he has been some of their staff working there),replaces the original one and he has clearly made an unprofessional mistake,I don't know if he is telling the truth or not,but this is what actually happened.I doubt it they did it on purpose because channel 6 translated the Morsi's speech completely and without one simple mistake. Now it's up to members to judge what actually happened.

I personally almost don't watch news on TV at all and follow news through internet, so I don't care about that at all.
And therefore no I'm not affected by "mullas' media" at all, though you and your fellows are apparently brainwashed by Al Saud "media". The issue here is an error by one of the translator on one of the channels which the speech was reported. It's funny that you are attributing the error to the whole Iranian media.

... While your News channels like Al-Arabiya lie and spread propaganda every day toward Iran and Syria. ...

Al-Ebriyya (العبريه) is the correct spelling :azn:

.
At least far better than your BS media which didn't cover such an important event at all, except that part which Morsi said something that West like.

Which "media" are you referring to? There is more than 2, infact there is literally thousands of different news sources, and yes, most did cover it.

I don't see how the fake "PressTV" could be better than any other real media organization. Even North Korean State Media reports actual real news, unlike PRessTV that reports fake invasions and fake natural disasters.

Western media is the biggest propaganda machine on the planet. Yes as you admitted, Iran has one PressTV, you have thousands. Of course most did cover Morsi speech about Syria very well but didn't say a word about other things, e.g., http://www.defence.pk/forums/iranian-defence/205067-iran-egypt-call-each-other-strategic-allies.html, Khamenei speech, that so many countries increased ties with Iran, etc.

.
You whip out broad statements like "Western media is the biggest propaganda machine on the planet" ignoring the fact that there is literally thousands of independent media sources in the so called "west"

You also ignore the fact that "PressTV" cannot be compared to any other media organization IN THE WORLD. It is the ONLY media organization in the world that reports solely "Fake" news.

If North Koreas media is more factual and legitimate than PressTV, that's really saying something about the state of PRessTV.

.
With this mix up I put Fars news, IRNA, Press TV, State run TV channels, all official translators of Iranian government for local or international events, the Parliament and the ministers in the same boat of distorting facts.

Stick with Aljazeera

I like how you guys picked this, however the whole world does it, remember when Alarabieyh claimed that the Syrian VP defected? and when Aljazeera made up the story of Zainb where they said the government cut her into pieces, then next weak she appeared on tv??? i mean what press tv did is way better then those Aljazeera and her sisters.
