Words can not describe how much I despise Masoud Shojaei. Not as a person, as a player off course.

They guy is so lethargic and slow, and absolutely kills all our offensive attacks.
He dribbles until there is no more room left to dribble and maneuver. He waits until there is no time to wait. He thinks until there is no time to think.
He is the slowest decision maker ever. Which is very bad for a player that is creative/attacking midfielder.
He's not even being played at his rightful position by CQ, but he sucks anyway. I honestly think he has no place in the squad, much less the starting line-up! I would replace him with Sadeghian

We have some good players from Gilan too, like Jalal Hosseini, Jahanbakhsh or the much younger Ezzatollahi.
I really hope Queiroz will let Jahanbakhsh play a little during the world cup.

Yup, Sirous Qayeghran was also the captain of national team, and one of the bests in his time.
Anyway, the bests of Iran football have been Azeris, like Ali Daei, Naser Hejazi, ...

Yeah but Rahmati was suspended by CQ.

I think Sadeghian would be a good creative/attacking midfielder. He makes those very quick decisions. Azmoun is more of a target striker.
Anyway there are a lot of options.
