Iran showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan. 14th August celebrations.

True but Pakistan was knee deep with Americans then which placed it in difficult position with Iran.

Pakistan sacrificed it relations with Iran as it wanted to maintain its close relations with the US & Saudi Arabia. That's exactly what I said and mods went ballistic giving two negative ratings for that post.

I want one thing desperately from Iran...

High time to revive it.

Did you know the greatest threat to US hegemony in the region is in Iran/Pak working together. In fact I measure US cheerleaders in how they view Iran. If they are hardcore anti-Iran they will be closet American lovers. It's that simple. Washington's nightmare would be if Pak/Iran converged and played along with China.

Have a look at Afghanistan. The two major neighbours who have influence on that country are Iran/Pakistan. Who you think US is going to go to if Iran/Pak work together in Afghanistan? Call Putin in Russia for help??? Hint: Afghanistan is landlocked.
Well, Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia are already working together since their interests converge and they know USA sponsored ISIS will target all these countries. I won't put too much weight prematurely rather I would say we should tread cautiously given the history and what if Iran-US relations improve and sanctions are gone...will it all continue? I'm not against Iran at all rather favour great relations with both countries supporting each other on all issues on all forums but for that Iran would have to open up a little bit as well since it is not wise to strain our relations with GCC as millions of Pakistani expatriates have been working in the middle-east for decades and their remittances form a good chunk of our economy. So in all relations, Pakistan's interests should hold foremost importance.

Lol tomorrow India has an independence day and whole Iran is littered with Pakistani flags. Hahahaha poor India thrown out of Iran's diplomacy Khan effect zindabad

Congrats on completely missing the point. I rated you negatively for the same reason I have now reported you: For derailing a positive news thread.

@Vijay Yadav Royal

The picture you posted of a function was hosted in India for India-Iran business forum in January
yes Iranian govt. officials were present there as they play both sides of the wicket but you are a jhoota as well.

How is my post derailing? You are in fact running away from the fact the Pakistan is not reciprocating to the gestures and hand of friendship being extended by Iran time and again.

Build IP pipeline else all these posts mean nothing.

No mate, why did you not pay attention to this great response from @Indus Pakistan
It was not so much as stabbing. In 1979 Iran abruptly turned against USA and Saudia Arabia whereas Pakistan remained firmly entrenched with US and KSA. That began the gap building up between both countries but I think both have handled their differances in a mature way. I have no idea right now but did you know for decades Iran did not have a embassy in US. Instead Iran's diplomatic office operated from the Pakistan Embassy in Washington.
Pakistan and Iran both had great relations with USA rather lran was known to be the sherif in the region on behalf of USA but with change of regime, Iran strained its relations with almost all countries in the region and rather Pakistan-Iran relation fared much better as compared to Iran-GCC relations.

Truth is Pakistan still provides the US with transit route to Afghanistan while Iran does not.

Either Pakistan is weak or selfish. I would say it is the latter.

@war&peace

Yes we had good relations pre-1979, we had security relationship
with Shah of Iran not with the people of Iran, that became evident after 1980 and it has nothing to do with US-Pak relation but Iran's courting of India for its own greed.
Same is with Saudis. PAkistan Govt. relationship is with Saudi Royal family not with the Saudi people. ITs theSaudi royal family that looks to Pakistan due to a certain interest also. Unfortunately the desi livberal agents of USA are after this relationship ontheir paymasters direction. By raising those western stupid bogeymen

I hope that under IK, we will make improvements with the nations and not just govts. This analogy can be extended to any country. All of the Pakistan's relations have been confined to govt to govt or even between individuals and families. Even between China, the relations have been confined between the govts, the people to people contact has been limited. However with CPEC, people will come in contact with each other. In GCC, it has been slightly different because million of Pakistanis have been working there so people have a clue about each other but that cannot be said in Pak-Iran case as there has a limited interaction between the people of two countries. I hope that will change in future.
Our govt in the past never thought about facilitating common Pakistanis and that is why you see that Pakistani passport has such a low value because your govt never negotiate for visas on reciprocal basis that facilitating common Pakistanis. So I hope after a few years, the situation will improve.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Bro your information is amusing . Check Iran own ties with USA pre 1980 and the iran contra affair like scandals
Shah of Iran was like sherif in the region due to US support

Did you ever think a relationship is a two way street? There are specific reasons why our relations went sour with Iran. First and foremost. Post 1979 Iran overnight became a deadly foe of the US. I still remember a US Special Forces raid going disasterously wrong when they tried to rescue American hostages in Tehran. It was humiliation of United States of America in fron of the world. US has never forgiven Iran for that.

Soon enough American proxies and allies in Middle East were leveraged to unleash the anger against Iran. This is when Iraq attacked Iran begining the decade long war that cost Iran a entire generation. KSA, GCC states played their role in squeezing Iran further. at one point US Navy even shot a civilian Iran Air carrying piligrims over the Persian Gulf.

In all this unfolding saga Pakistan found itself in the American camp. How do you think this went down in Iran that Pakistan their neighbouring was hosting USA as a ally when their country was being crushed by USA. On top of that KSA was cheerleading the "chop the snakes head"? As if this was not and enough we of course supported the Taliban who of course are infected with sectarian tendencies. They began killing Shias and at one point in late 1990s Iran even almost went to war against Afghanistan after dozen plus of it's diplomats were murdered.

So there has been a complicated history behind where we find ourselves today. Both Iran and Pakistan must understand that both lost out by playing to outside fiddler who is no friend of neither. I mean think how dare US install a regime in Kabul that detests Pakistan? Can you imagine the cheek of these people. The fact that Mush helped them does not change the reality. This region belongs to Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and Central Asia. US and India have no business sticking their noses here. And who gave licence to US to do this? Iran? Was it Iran that gave it's ports, airbases, military logistic services for it to install a Pakistan hating NA scum in Kabul? The price of which we still are paying day out and day out.

Fact is if Iran, Pakistan, China and Centra Asia are on the same page US would not survive for day in this region and those NA scum in Kabul would be leashed like dogs that they are. I went into some effort to explain because I think you are not a sectarian retard because for them they would make peace with the devil to have shot at the shias.
