Your economy and status wouldn't be at this present level without immense outside (non-Arab) contribution. Again, all of those shiny skyscrapers and oil refineries were designed and built by non-Arabs, predominantly South Asian labor and Western/East Asian Architects and Engineers.

Yes, if the posts weren't discussing the gulf's name, then they were primarily discussing history. As for who instigated it, the word "Arabian Gulf" is not even mentioned in the original article, & many people here simply call it "gulf" too. Yes, it's true the UN calls it the Persian Gulf & that has been its historical name in recent history, but the situation could have been handled in a better manner without getting in to 20 pages of debate.

What matters are the people living around it and around the whole Gulf nearly only Arabs live. Even in Southern Iran Arabs live in great numbers. Their greatest port city, Bandar Abbas, is just a pure Arab name.

Most inhabitants of southern iran arent arabs. There are 2 million arabs in iran. The overall population of southern iran is 15 million.

coastal southern iran has small arabian minority, most arabians migrated back to arabia last century.
