Are you you suffering from some sort of a mental disorder?
I seen some old threads and you went from defending Iran just year or so ago in all the threads and now is one of the few desperate trolls seeking to downgrade Iran.
Maybe your lazy brain cells are confused

I was a stupid kid 2-3 years ago. I thought I was being a patriot by trying to defend the constant mullah **** ups. Now I know better.

Anyway, Iran doesn't need downgrading. It's bottom of the barrel these days. Right beside North Korea and Pakistan.

There are many Iranians whom are not in favour of current Iranian establishment but they don't take out their frustration of products of engineering. These engineering upgrades, designs etc are not done so by 'mullahs' but engineers whom could be your own relatives.
Iranian politics does leak into the military with some propaganda, but in the end, never take away the hard work and real achievements of hard-working Iranians.

You can defend Iran and be a patriot and not have to resort to acts of what seems to be trolling.
Look at Iran-Iraq war, do you think all who were on the front line fighting Iraq were all supporters of the current establishment? Many who fought were simply Iranian nationalists.

If you have problem with current Iranian establishment, channel your energy and frustration in a different way.
You were much better 2-3 years ago because then you seem to be defending Iran, not mullahs or anyone else, but just your country...think about that.

I can see why for you Iran could be a model of stability (with everything that's happening in Iraq today). In the grand scheme of things though, neither Iran nor Iraq are anything to be proud of. Not sure why you're bringing the monarchy into the discussion. That ended nearly 4 decades ago. I'm in my 20's. Why would I care about the Pahlavi Dynasty?

But since you bring it up, I'll tell you a thing or two about those times. You know those Iranian cars in Iraqi streets today? And those blue water coolers being exported to Iraq? Or the soft drinks etc... All those companies were set up under the rule of the shah (which you claim wasn't doing anything). Iran Khodro, Pars Khazar etc... Every major steel manufacturer, drug producer, car company, electronic company... was set up before the revolution. Economic growth in the 70's was in the 20% range.

I don't mean to insult Iraq, but again, as an Iraqi you look at Iran's stability and you think that it's not so bad. I look at South Korea and think that Iran could have been SK. My standards are a lot higher then a theocratic dictatorship with a failed economy and a trash civil society with nearly 6 million expats (and growing day by day).

Iran was a big Emirates. The huge economic growth was due to sharp increase in the oil price and back then, there weren't so many competitors in the oil industry so middle east countries, and mostly Iran and SA harvested most of the profit.

Military wise, almost everything was being purchased from the west. I personally remember when the Iran-Iraq war started, we didn't know how to cast the shell of a mortar. I remember my uncle who was back then a Metallurgy student was working on it as a research project.

All those factories that were mentioned above were established before revolution but also were expanded after the revolution. For example Iran Khodro is nothing similar to what it was back then.

In my own industry, i.e. Civil and Structure, the achievements after revolution is not even comparable. We could not build dams, tunnels, bridges and etc. Everything was built by foreign companies. Nowadays, we not only design and build those things, we even are exporting our engineering services to countries like Tajikistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Belarus, Venezuela and etc.

Overall, science and industry is much stronger and self reliant, thanks to the embargoes and sanctions. I personally think as soon as those are lifted, Iran will be among top five countries in Asia.
