Maybe if you guys hold the Kashmir plebiscite Nehru promised, in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and in keeping with the spirit of democracy -- i.e. instead of looking for excuses in technicalities -- the tension between India and Pakistan would diminish, and there would be no need for us to guard our eastern borders so carefully.

They need to explain why they are not imprving their own treatment of their Sunni population (who have legitimate grievances against their Shia overlords); and then they need to explain what is stopping them from improving their own control of that border.

In California, where I used to live, it was nearly impossible to completely stop Mexicans from illegally entering the US; if they're determined enough, they will take the risks, and some will get in.

There is no need for these dramatic public statements by the Iranians. I do not care for the threatening tone here. Something is fishy; I wonder if RAW has acquired some prominent Iranians as assets.
With drone attacks, trouble against the extremists in the North, and increased firing from Modi's India on the eastern borders, it is very strange to hear Iran make these threatening remarks about possible military action from their side. (Who do they think they are, the USA? )
The whole thing just smells of Indian underhanded trouble-creating tactics....
Before Iran starts warning us, they should take a deep breath and repeat three times "Pakistan has nuclear weapons."
Then they can go back to diplomacy with a clear head.

This is exactly the mentality that is getting you on a collision course with every neighbour, be it us, the Afghans, Iranians or even Tajiks (with regards to fears of Taliban spillover). Open up your thinking and re-read the article. The general is simply saying that if you cannot fight terrorism inside, then simply let them do their job; where does he say that he wants to invade you?

Iran doesn't want war against Pakistan; they want YOU to deal with terrorists who shoot and scoot back into Pakistan, making the job of Iranian troops difficult as they don't want to cross the international border. If you are not able to deal with it, what choice do they have but to send special forces in for a rapid assault against what they consider as threat to their people?

Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan should allow hot pursuit by their forces into each others territory. We know we are in a messed up region and whoever can grab those bastard should do it in any of these countries.

Since the situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan is not stable, there should be an inter-governmental agreement between you three so that whichever military catches the scumbags can simply dispatch them to hell.

We have transferred? Stop living in delusions and denial man. Your country is a big one and therefore not every part of it is controllable. Better would be for your general to form a strategic pact with Iranians to allow their troops to hot pursue these groups inside your territory and ONLY allow them access to deal with them. This will build confidence.

Asking for 'proof' the way you ask us all the time will only antagonize them further. What benefit will they get lying against you? They hardly have anything to do with your country.
