Iran rejects Istanbul as venue of nuclear talks

Leave twisting to the politicians, Turkey played West hand more than helped Iran in the hour of need, and decision was made immediately after or during Turkey delegation visit (and announcement of cutting down oil imports from Iran). Hence Iran is choosing a friendlier venue, like Iraq or China, whats so hard to understand about it?

Iran hasn't given any economical reason to Turkey for the last three years that Turkey has tried to strenghen its relations with Iran. Why would we choose Iran over US?

As you pointed out yourself, Turkey choose US over Iran, and thats the answer why venue was changed.

About economics, I dont know contract and negotiation details to judge one way or another, however China, India, etc. are getting discounts and huge contracts. If Turkey didnt, maybe there are certain reasons, like anti-Iran missile shield, fully supporting terrorists who attack Syria, to name the few. Turkey cuddles with Iran enemies who constantly threaten to attack, I personally would also be wary about it.

The number of refugees has passed more than 20.000 and you still consider the people of Syria who don't want to be governed by a dictator as "terrorists"?? This is a joke, right??

We support the people of Syria rather than the bloody regime of Assad and we haven't started to support them FULLY yet.

We are not going to attack Syria by ourselves, we are not that stupid. We will just start to arm them.

And even if we attacked Syria, Russia will not go into a war for Syria (they declared this) and Iran can't take the chance of going into a war with Turkey directly because Turkey is way too powerfull for them for a hot war.

Majority of Syrians support Assad, thats a fact, confirmed even by Qatar (who are as anti-Assad as it gets). Therefore his government is legitimate, regardless what outside countries with a clear agenda thinks.

Now about those Syrians who oppose Assad - they are minority. Every single country in the World have people who oppose the government, including Turkey (how Kurds are doing? 100% supporting Erdogan, right? ). Especially bad when local gangs were armed and financed by foreign countries (West, Arabs, Turkey as well), along with thousands of terrorists from other countries, like Al Qaeda.

What Syria suppose to do, roll over and let terrorists rampage the country? Next time when you suggest that, I will remind you let Turkey do the same with Kurds. Even more - let other countries send thousands of terrorists to help out the "rebels", together with a huge pressure from certain countries, which wishes to install puppets in your country. Maybe then you'll understand position Syria is in.

Well, the big difference between Turkey and Syria is that Turkey is a democratic state while Syria is a dictatorship. Because Erdogan is an elected leader of Turkey in a fair election, which is observerd by many national and international organizations, he has every right to resist to Kurdish terrorists who want to weaken Turkey's internal authority. If Assad wanted his government to be recognized as a legitimate regime and if he believed that the majority of Syrian people supported him, then he would step down (resign) first and let a fair election to take place. But, I don't think it is possible anymore.

Just one week ago, Istanbul was the city which was offered by Iranian officials and they do perfectly know that Friends of Syrian People Meeting would be held in Istanbul when they offered Istanbul.

Additionally Turkey followed some steps like reducing oil import and siding with Syrian rebels, which were hostile to Iran. Doesn't Iran have the right to feel suspicious of its brother, Turkey because of this? Is this so abnormal?
