No I wasn’t celebrating about china find the post and correct me
As for armenians they are turkish mortal enemies and obviously you don’t know why i said it so don’t comment on conflicts you aren’t informed
As long as Turkey is not affected this is good development ;)
Ottoman justice served by coronavirus 100 years later hahahahahah

i didnt even say anything about Armenia..

. .
Now they're saying that the patient zero was a businessman from Qom that traveled to back and forward to China for trade and stuff, Sadly he imported sweet coronavirus.
seems like he is dead...

.
This is very scary, how come the fatality rate becomes so high in Iran..
Because they are not China.

Imagine if we had allowed those Pakistani students back...China has the infrastructure and resources to deal with it.

in 2 months time, this problem will be nowhere to be found.
the educated guess is not all the cases are known , and many cases will be diagnosed as normal cold . after all more than 80% of the cases show themselves as a mild cold , ond only 5% need hospitalization and 2% is the fatality rate

Thailand coronavirus update: Confirmed cases, recoveries and deaths
Confirmed coronavirus cases in Thailand reached 35, including one person in serious condition, by 24 February, and the situation remains stable currently. Out of the confirmed cases, nine are Thai citizens and 26 are of Chinese origin.

Number of patients that recovered from coronavirus reached 21, while no deaths have been reported.

Thailand was the first country hit by coronavirus after China, but most cases are Chinese tourists who got the virus while in China, and the virus doesn't seem to be able to spread in Thailand, we see the same trend that in tropical countries like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia this virus doesn't spread, while in China, Japan, Korea, the spread is explosive..

This charateristic is aligned with our past experience with similar virues, it is very active in cold weather while much much less active in hot weather.

Coronavirus: 50 dead in Iranian city of Qom
Death toll is significantly higher than figures Iranian officials reported hours earlier

A staggering 50 people have died in the Iranian city of Qom from coronavirus this month, Iran’s semiofficial Ilna news agency reported on Monday.

The new death toll is significantly higher than the latest number of confirmed cases of infections that Iranian officials had reported just a few hours earlier by and which stood at 12 deaths out of 47 cases, according to state TV.

An official from Qom, Ahmad Amiriabadi Farahani, was quoted by Ilna saying that more than 250 people had been quarantined in the city, which is a popular place of religious study for Shia Muslims from across Iran and other countries.

He said the 50 deaths date as far back as 13 February. Iran, however, first officially reported cases of the virus and its first deaths on 19 February.

The new coronavirus originated in China sometime around December. There are concerns that clusters in Iran, as well as in Italy and South Korea, could signal a serious new stage in its global spread.

A top World Health Organization official expressed concerns Monday over the virus’s spread. “We are worried about the situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran and in Italy,” the WHO chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, told a news conference in Stockholm via a video link.

Authorities in Iran have closed schools across much of the country for a second day and as neighbouring countries reported infections from travellers from Iran, prompting several to shut their borders to Iranian citizens.

The number of deaths compared with the number of confirmed infections from the virus is higher in Iran than in any other country, including China and South Korea, where the outbreak is far more widespread.

Iranian health officials have not said whether health workers in Qom who first came in contact with infected people had taken precautionary measures in treating those who died of the virus. Iran also has not said how many people are in quarantine across the country overall.

Kuwait announced on Monday its first cases of the virus, saying that three travellers returning from Iran’s north-eastern city of Mashhad were confirmed infected with coronavirus.

Iran, however, has not yet reported any confirmed cases of the virus in Mashhad, raising questions about how the government is carrying out tests and quarantines.

Iran has confirmed cases so far in five cities, including the capital, Tehran. A local mayor in Tehran is among those infected and in quarantine.

Kuwait has been evacuating 750 citizens from Iran and testing them as they enter the country after saying that Iran had barred its medical workers from testing travellers at an exit terminal in Iran, despite an agreement to do so.

The three returning from Iran to Kuwait who were infected with the virus are being treated in Kuwait and were identified as a Kuwaiti male, 53, a Saudi male, 61, and the third was not identified except as a 21-year-old. The news was reported by the Kuwait News Agency quoting the Kuwait health ministry.

Iranian travellers with the virus have also been confirmed in Canada, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

The outbreak in Iran has centred mostly on the city of Qom, but spread rapidly over the past few days as Iranians went to the polls on Friday for nationwide parliamentary elections, with many voters wearing masks and stocking up on hand sanitiser.

Iran is already facing diplomatic and economic isolation under US pressure. The virus threatens to isolate Iran even further as countries shut their borders to Iranians.

Soccer fans across the country will not be allowed to attend matches, and shows in movie theatres and other venues were suspended until Friday. Authorities have begun daily sanitisation of Tehran’s metro, which is used by 3 million people, and public transportation cars in the city.

Oh dear. If true about Iran then it will spread to Lebanon, Iraq and Syria due to heavy traffic between Iran and these countries.

Iran denies virus coverup and claim of 50 deaths

Tehran (AFP) - Iran's government vowed Monday to be transparent after being accused of covering up the deadliest coronavirus outbreak outside China, dismissing claims the toll could be as high as 50.

The authorities in the Islamic republic have come under mounting public pressure since it took days for them to admit to "accidentally" shooting down a Ukrainian airliner last month, killing 176 people.

The government said on Monday that Iran's coronavirus death toll had jumped by four to 12 -- by far the highest outside China -- as its neighbours closed their borders and imposed strict quarantine measures.

But Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani, a lawmaker from the holy city of Qom, south of Tehran, alleged the government was "lying" about the full extent of the outbreak.

The ILNA news agency, which is close to reformists, said the lawmaker spoke of "50 deaths" in Qom alone.

"The rest of the media have not published this figure, but we prefer not to censor what concerns the coronavirus because people's lives are in danger," ILNA editor Fatemeh Mahdiani told AFP.

Farahani was wearing a face mask during the closed session of parliament but left after speaking, as he felt unwell, state news agency IRNA reported, adding sanitary workers then cleaned his seat.

Iran's government rejected his claim that the virus had killed 50 in Qom.

"I categorically deny this information," Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi said in a news conference aired live on state television.

"This is not the time for political confrontations. The coronavirus is a national problem," he added.

- Transparency pledge -

The government pledged transparency over the outbreak.

"We will announce any figures (we have) on the number of deaths throughout the country. We pledge to be transparent about the reporting of figures," its spokesman Ali Rabiei said.

Iran has been scrambling to contain the COVID-19 outbreak since it announced the first two deaths in the holy city of Qom on Wednesday last week.

. .
A history of lying and cover ups from the regime. I believe the rumours more than I believe Iran.

.
Pakistan should close borders and cancel all travel in or out of Iran. We need to be extra careful with increasing number of cases in our bordering nations. Regardless of death toll just presence of Virus is a threat enough.

.
Meanwhile more i$raelis sent to hell in wars with Palestinians and arabs.

.
Correction its 50 deaths in iran and hundreds of infrctions! Not 8 deaths.

Follow the hadith dont enter or leave a city with a contagious disease.

Muslims have guidance for this kind of situation. Surprisingly scientists and chinese governemnt and Pakistani government agree on this.
