The United States and Europe acknowledged before negotiations started that they would not get the tough sanctions they were hoping for, promising to enact harsher measures on their own once they had the imprimatur of the United Nations. Congress is expected to pass a package of unilateral sanctions against Iran, and European leaders will begin discussing possible measures at a summit meeting next week.

Pray Tell me Which Sanction levied by U.N. has been Broken by India . Be Specific . and we don't care much about U.S. and Europe Sanctions . They will starve Iran if things are in their hands .

@ ashok321 See with India becoming more and more economically advanced ; the neutrals and the non allies of India are favouring a move to have strong relationship with India .
As such India needs to utilize every oppurtunity that it gets .

Of course India has to be selective, and thats why US the superpower and Israel.
The benefit of above relation would far outweigh that of Iran, which would be destroyed beyond recognition by US and Israel, the way things are working out.....

India's foreign policy is to stay neutral with almost every country including Israel and Iran which i must say is the best option to execute at this moment of time .
Secondly our relations with the west are being getting stronger rather than being hampered eventhough we import from Iran .
So its best to exploit the situation and be sitting ducks/neutral .

To climb the upper rung of the ladder, you can not stay the neutral course in International matrix of Politics. You have to make your call and stay focused on that. Dilly dally tactics wont help. India has to have clear cut foreign policy and not a ambiguous one. You have to be proactive when the need be.
